I will think about that, but my automatic response wants to say "it's not connected".
Actual sex with children is more about control (as are every other sex crime I can think of). Yes. Children are "sweet". They're innocent, uncorrupted, playful and imaginitve etc. Those things could possibly intice someone to be innitially attracted to them (sexually or otherwise).
But to actually give in to the desire is to corrupt the innocence. It's exerting power over the powerless.
BUT, like over eating, the desire itself is addictive and usually points at a larger underlying problem.

Interesting idea, but like Zhaylin, my initial reaction is "it's completely different".

Remember that when I say "pedophilia", I talk about the attraction to children - Not the act of doing anything sexual with children

Some people are attracted to women. Some people are attracted to men. Some are attracted to both. Most people find others most attractive around their early twenties. Some people's age of interest is higher, and some lower.

That's more how I'd think of it.

tbh, I imagine a large portion of them are in fact just sickos looking for an easy target, but I agree there is more than likely a small portion who cant help it any more than gays or straights. The problem is, of course, the ones who act on it.

erm, I did. In my post I stated that the small portion in question are ones who act on it. It would be much harder to gauge how many there are who dont act on it.

You don't need to apologise Maeni; you probably were just expecting to be surrounded by intolerant fools who needed to be slapped in the face a bit to make them understand. When it comes to paedophilia, this is more of the population.

My attraction to boys is a lot more like the taste of marmite than the taste of sugar... doesn't have so much to do with 'sweetness'. But it does have a lot to do with cuteness, adorableness, and the sexual attraction to it.

Couldn't paedophilia simply be a case of confusing the 'adorable' instinct with the 'shag' instinct. I have seen it that way for a couple of years.

However my attraction at least is far more emotional than it is sexual. A boy is something what I actually yearn for, that I need to fill my heart. I want to love a boy more than I want to love a partner of the same generation. Most of the time I just want to hug the shit out of a boy or shower them with kisses. My favorite, just us peacefully falling asleep with my arms around him.

I find it hard to understand how this came from a desire for 'sweetness' and comfort.

But anyway, I am pretty sure that people from EVERY sexuality will turn to it for comfort. So... what's your point?

ehem, I believe that is my place to say, seeing as he was aggressive at me

but yes, its ok. I try to see from people's perspectives who cant help something, especially if it is a society taboo. I know sometimes I dont sound like it, but if I dont, then its probably because Im reasoning out loud lol
