HELL NO!!
Just somethings to keep in mind as many have jumped on the ban wagon to bash Bush.
Subject: The Clintons
Dear Mr. Ex President Clinton:
I recently saw a bumper sticker that said, "Thank me, I voted for
Clinton-Gore." So, I sat down and reflected on that, and I am sending
my "Thank you" for what you have done, specifically:
1. Thank you for introducing us to Jennifer Flowers, Paula Jones,
Monica Lewinsky, Dolly Kyle Browning, Kathleen Willey, and Juanita
Broderick. Did I leave anyone out?
2. Thank you for teaching my 8 year old about oral sex. I had really
planned to wait until he was a little older to discuss it with him,
but now he knows more about it than I did as a senior in college.
3. Thank you for showing us that sexual harassment in the work place
(especially the White House) and on the job is OK, and all you have
to know is what the meaning of "it" is. It really is great to know
that certain sexual acts are not sex, and one person may have sex
while the other one does NOT have sex.
4. Thank you for reintroducing the concept of impeachment to a new
generation and demonstrating that the ridiculous plot of the movie
"Wag the Dog" could be plausible after all.
5. Thanks for making Jimmy Carter look competent, Gerald Ford look
graceful, Richard Nixon look honest, Lyndon Johnson look truthful,
and John Kennedy look moral.
6. Thank you for the 73 House and Senate witnesses who have pled the
5th Amendment and 17 witnesses who have fled the country to avoid
testifying about Democratic campaign fund raising.
7. Thank you, for the 19 charges, 8 convictions, and 4 imprisonment's
from the Whitewater "mess" and the 55 criminal charges and 32
criminal convictions (so far) in the other "Clinton" scandals.
8. Thanks also for reducing our military by half, "gutting" much of
our foreign policy, and flying all over the world on "vacations"
carefully disguised as necessary trips.
9 Thank you, also, for "finding" millions of dollars (I really didn't
need it in the first place, and I can't think of a more deserving
group of recipients for my hard-earned tax dollars)
for all of your globe-trotting. I understand you , the family and your
cronies have logged in more time aboard Air Force One than any other
administration.
10. Now that you've left the White House, thanks for the 140 pardons
of convicted felons and indicted felons-in-exile. We will love to
have them rejoin society. (Not to mention the scores you pardoned
while Governor of Arkansas)
11. Thanks also for removing the White House silverware. I'm sure
that Laura Bush didn't like the pattern anyway. Also, enjoy the
housewarming gifts you've received from your "friends."
12. Thanks to you and your staff in the West Wing of the White House
for vandalizing and destroying government property on the way out. I
also appreciate removing all of that excess weight (China,
silverware, linen, towels, ash trays, soap, pens, magnetic compass,
flight manuals, etc.) out of Air Force 1. The weight savings means
burning less fuel, thus less tax dollars spent on jet fuel. Thank
you!
13. And finally, please ensure that Hillary enjoys the $8 million
dollar advance for her "tell-all" book and you, Bill, the $10 million
advance for your memoirs. Who says crime doesn't pay!
14. The last and most important point - thank you for forcing Israel
to let Mohammed Atta go free. Terrorist pilot Mohammed Atta blew up a
bus in Israel in 1986. The Israelis captured, tried and imprisoned
him. As part of the Oslo agreement with the Palestinians in 1993,
Israel had to agree to release so-called "political prisoners".
However, the Israelis would not release any with blood on t heir
hands. The American President at the time, you, Mr. Clinton, and your
Secretary of State, Warren Christopher, "insisted" that all prisoners
be released. Thus Mohammed Atta was freed and eventually thanked the
US by flying an airplane into Tower One of the World Trade Center.
This was reported by many of the American TV networks at the time
that the terrorists were first identified. It was censored in the US
from all later reports. Why shouldn't Americans know the real truth?
What a guy!!
If you agree that the American public must be made aware of these
facts, pass this on. God bless America and THANK YOU (once again) for
spending my taxes so wisely and frugally.
AND THE REST OF THE STORY Hillary Rodham Clinton, as a New York State
Senator, now comes under the "Congressional Retirement and Staffing
Plan," which means that even if she never gets reelected, she STILL
receives her Congressional salary until she dies. (Would it not be
nice if all Americans were pension eligible after only 4 years?)
If Bill outlives her, he then inherits HER salary until HE dies. He
is already getting his Presidential salary until he dies. If Hillary
outlives Bill, she also gets HIS salary until she dies. Guess who
pays for that?
WE DO!
It's common knowledge that in order for her to establish NY
residency, they purchased a million dollar-plus house in upscale
Chappaqua, New York. Makes sense. They are entitled to Secret Service
protection for life. Still makes sense.
Here is where it becomes interesting. Their mortgage payments hover
at around $10,000 per month. BUT, an extra residence HAD to be built
within the acreage to house the Secret Service agents.
The Clintons charge the Federal government $10,000 monthly rent for
the use of that extra residence, which is just about equal to their
mortgage payment. This means that we, the taxpayers, are paying the
Clinton's salary, mortgage, transportation, safety and security, as
well as the salarie s for their 12 man staff -- and, this is all
perfectly legal!
If she runs for President, would you vote for her?
Why is Clinton such a victem of anti-campaings? Really, only in America it isn't about making your candidate look good, and show how much of a politician he is, in America it is all about making your opponent look like crap, how much he rapes little bunnies... : /
Democracy? No.
I would go for Ms Clinton, not because I want to, but because American 'democracy' is just an ultimatum between AIDS and Hepatites.

Clinton? A VICTIM?
Please.
Poke around in the Congressional Record a bit. There is a sealed CHAMBER filled with evidence about the Clintons, about which several congress-critters said they became "sick to their stomachs" while reviewing before deciding to make it off limits to the public - and very likely to history.
The Victims of the Clintons are us... and the entire world. People are either too dumb or too loyal to admit it, have made too much money off of their schemes, or are too arrogant to admit they were duped.
And a whole lot of them just happen to be dead, too.

But really, The Clintons didn't so anything worse then Nixon or then what the republicans are doing now. It is a fact that they Extremely overly blew-up the whole 'sex-scandal'. Clintons personal life has nothing to do with how good or bad he leads a country.

Ya know... "conspiracy theories" is the easy way out of a whole heap of evidence that you are choosing to ignore.
Ah well. It takes all kinds - including those who feel that a man's (or woman's) morals and ethics have nothing to do with how they will lead, carry staggering responsibility and react in the face of the kinds of temptations mere mortals rarely face.
Which is exactly why I've avoided this part of the forum... and am going back to my previous intention.

As a Canadian I wish I could see Americans being less polarized and less absolutist. E.g. Clinton's great, Bush is terrible. No Bush is great, Clinton is terrible.
Maybe if there were three parties in US, more perspectives would be possible.
Also not sure why sex is bad but violence is fine? Maybe both depend on context?
"we may accept dream telepathy as a working hypothesis." Stephen LaBerge, page 231 Lucid Dreaming 1985
Clinton was a terrible president, he left the economy leading into a recession, made bad policies, and didn't get Bin Laden when he had the chance. Most of it gets overlooked because the sex controversy is the highlight of his presidency and the "legacy" he left.
lololol.
Bush raped your economy.
Bush raped your foreign policy.
Bush raped your own troops.
Bush raped human rights.
Bush raped the world just a little bit more.
Clinton wasn't a good president, but one of the best you ever had lately. Your 2-party system doesn't lead to democracy, it leads to absolutism, like that dude said a few posts back.

And a fulfilling 500th.![]()
As far as election reform. To me it is utterly obvious. Hell Three parties. Why not 5 or 6?
good point though.
So oral sex while being married and being the worlds prominent figure head, is a good message to send to our youth and everyone else for that matter?
Know wonder other countries think are morals are shit.
The economy is doing good right now, the reason were were in a recession was because of how Clinton set it up. The troops? Every war has troops dieing, and it also has people that are against it, that's opinion, not fact. Human rights? He tried to stop abortion, which is for human rights.

Bill Clinton is a used car salesman sociopath joke. I never did get why anybody trusted him to be the President. After so much was exposed about what a full of shit and selfish person he is, he got re-elected. That blew my mind so much. I live in a country where Bill Clinton gets re-elected. What the Hell is that about?!!!
Democrats were so Hell bent on taking up for Clinton at every turn that they sold out on everything they stood for just before he was elected. Before Clinton got into office, Democrats were on a huge crusade against sexual harassment. They were saying that the seriousness of such charges makes it where any accusation of sexual harassment needs to be looked way into. They said that bosses are horrible people and need to be punished severely when they make sexual advances toward subordinate workers. Then Clinton did everything they were against in that area, so instead of dogging Clinton and being consistent, they just dropped the whole sexual harassment issue. I never heard another hateful, shrill liberal voice screaming against sexual harassment. They don't even do it now. Clinton flashed Paula Jones when he was Arkansas Governor and Jones was an Arkansas state employee. He called her up into his room, and when she felt like she had to go there and did so, Clinton flashed her. Instead of going for Clinton's head, the Democrats said stuff like, "Uh, that is just his way of coming on to women. To each his own." Those same people even sent out the message year after year that any woman who is sexually harassed needs to go forward and will have support from liberals and feminists. And what did they end up doing when Paula Jones went forward? They called her white trash and made fun of the size of her nose. That gave Jones such a complex that she went and got a nose job. The people she thought would support her tore her to shreds. It was so absurd. Clinton was even accused of rape, and the Democrats barely even acknowledged it, if they ever did. I don't remember any of them ever doing it. Bill Clinton was a major set back for feminism, and the feminists couldn't even find it anywhere in themselves to complain about him, ever.
That is just one example of what a joke the Clinton presidency turned out to be. I could go on all day about that sack of shit. My biggest problem with him is that he gave military technology to China, retreated from Somalia as soon as things got bad (which was a very selfish political move that gave Bin Laden the extremely dangerous idea that that is how we handle things these days, as Bin Laden said), and refrained from capturing or killing Bin Laden because he thought it would stir up controversy. That son of a bitch was in the White House only for himself, he put himself before the country he governed every time he had to choose between the two, and it is absolutely shocking that anybody could possibly like the sociopath. The people who actually like Bill Clinton are almost always the same people who go to used car lots and say to their spouses, "I think that salesman especially likes us. We hit it off really well. He's going to give us a great deal."
Gosh. This thread's not even a page in on my screen and already I've seen some of the most boneheaded things coming up from people. My favourite is the "two party system" (because three parties makes it suddenly so much more right and just).
Anyway, would I vote for Clinton?
HELL NO!![/b]

Um...Didn't Clinton get us OUT of debt, and Bush put us back IN debt?
I saw Clinton as an ok President.
What we really need are some Conservative Democrat candidates, or Independents.
But, people are too "smart" to think that Independents can run a country...

We were 4 trillion dollars in debt when Clinton was elected. Not only did he not get us out of debt. He got us further into it. Did you read my post about the other things he did? If we want a President with more integrity than Clinton, all we need to do is go to some random used car lot, find the most full of shit salesman there, and swear him into office. But we could also put the names of some television evangelists in a hat and draw one. Neither of those tactics could make us end up with a bigger bullshit artist than Bill Clinton.

What's our current debt status?

JESUS CHRIST!
We're $8,596,208,459,628.61 in debt...
Damnit, sucky Presidents.

numbers like that exist? HOLY JEEBUS![]()
to be honest I've never voted, all the candidates always looked like manipulative jerks or idiots. that and I lack faith in our system to begin withanyone want to give me ideas why I should have faith in our government??
I really try not to be pessimistic. Particularly with our freedoms. I try to remain involved and edgucated in recent political events.
But I must say, I am scared. Enough to seriously consider not having children.

Children are the only hope, short of the Second Coming.
People create wealth, and wealth is the only answer to poverty. Every new birth in this world is the next potential Einstein, Ghandi, Churchill, Bohr...
How many times has one person changed the whole world? That next one person may just be YOUR child, raised and taught as only you can do.
It is one thing to be concerned. It is another thing entirely to live in enough fear that we decide to self-immolate. Losing the desire to reproduce is suicide. Besides - there are others out there reproducing like rabbits - folk who hold values and aspirations you just might not want to hand this old world over to yet.
How bad is life, really, today? Compared to, say, 60 years ago? (Approaching the end of WWII...) or 70 years ago? (The great Depression...) or 90 years ago? (The coming WWI and the flu epidemic...)
Both of my parents came through all of that, and they're both still here to talk about it. Thank God they weren't afraid to bring kids into this world based on their experiences!
Besides... there is no joy or sense of completion in this life that even remotely compares to children. It is what we are designed for. It is what all our urges and passions are about. It is survival, and it is life.
IMHO.

You make a good point. I realize procreation, this is nature.
But selfishness is also nature. In some regards I feel it would be a selfish act to bring a child into a world that I and its populous has put in this current state.
Every generation letting the next generation fix their shortcomings. Or more likely flat out incompetent nature.
I also strongly believe that over population will be a factor in many of the upcoming issues in this world.
I don't see the population stagnating anytime soon.
If anything we need more people to sacrifice the "human dream" and step up to the plate and start focusing on a more philanthropic approach. (philanthroptic --. is that a word?
You need to fly over the middle of the US sometime if you are worried about overpopulation.
We have been carefully taught that people are the problem. How could that be? Without people, there are no problems - sure... but that is the same twisted logic that leads to the notion that suicide is a solution to a situation or problem.
Remember the Population Bomb? That was the big indoctrination back when I was in middles school. We were all expected to starve by 1980.
'Cept we didnt'. Because PEOPLE CREATE WEALTH.
Wealth isn't just cash, my friend. It is food. It is technology. It is art. It is what free people do when they are permitted to... and when they not rewarded for NOT being productive, which is what collectivism does.
If I may suggest, pick up a copy of "Atlas Shrugged" by Ayn Rand and dig in. You might learn that selfishness - RATIONAL selfishness - is a virtue.
