Same thing happens to me. The reason why its happening is becasue your thinking of it constantly and your grabbing out of desperation for anything you see to relate to that set of numbers. If I think of the number 365 when i wake up in the morning, i'll see that number dozens of times during the day... you get it?

This is selective attention and self-fulfilling prophecy at work. To best illustrate the meaning, consider this example:

Every day you see a red car.. you never think anything of it.

Something happens that makes you think red cars are unique and special in some way (ie. When you recognize that 666 is the devil's number&#33

You then point out every time you see a red car.

It then seems like, "Hey! I see red cars a lot!" When in truth, you have been seeing them as often as before and as often as green, white, blue, cars.

Try changing the number and you'll notice the samething... a lot of people are convinced they see the "Holy Trinity" 'all the time'... 111. I used to be one of these people till I realized it's actually a selective attention span, and that makes sense..

I get that a lot too, I'm sure it's like you said, but sometimes its completely random stuff that I swear I'd never seen before!

Like one day I learnt of the Kola nut and bought some. Same day/next day I watched an army (unrelated) TV show, this particular episode was set somewhere in Africa and they used Kola nuts to stay awake on sentry duty. Probably was another incidence of it but can't remember now.

In that example I'm sure I didn't even know what it was beforehand, and its not something everyday, so I'm not sure if it is selective awareness but some 1,000,000-to-1 random coincidence.

Turn out 666 is not the real number it 616. see 666 has nothing to do with the devil so it was selective attention because 666 is just a random number with no conncetion to the bible.

Where more conventional versions of the Bible give 666 as the “number of the beast,” or the sign of the anti-Christ whose coming is predicted in the book’s apocalyptic verses, the older version uses the Greek letters signifying 616.[/b]
