Yes,although it is immposible not to sin.
I think being a christian is beliveing and accepting Gods and Jesus teachings(apparently as that is the main requierment.) but i also think that it is about being humble(something many christians as well as atheists and people from other religeions arnt.), and openminded(many atheists are under the impression that all christians are ignorant bigots). also an important thing is to deny onesself lusty pleasures and to give in to our primordial animalish instincts.(IE: the ability to turn down violence, sex, food ect.) do you agree?
Yes,although it is immposible not to sin.
Time is the greatest illusion
I would say you are correct if only most Christians thought -And they may very well believe that. Unfortunately for a lot of humble Christians many Churches divide and create different secular divisions due to some minor teaching in the Bible that is perceived in two different ways.I think being a christian is believing and accepting Gods and Jesus teachings(apparently as that is the main requirement.)[/b]
this is what Christianity is supposedly about. Unfortunately, Christianity has been diluded with hate and exclusion. I seriously hope that more people would think like you. Maybe then Christianity, as a whole, would not seem so despicable to me.
Humble? 99 percent of American Christians are NOT. Open minded? I think not, but it seems to me that Jesus would have been. Christianity has lost its way. It has become more of a club than a religion.
Truley sad....
The truth is somewhere in the middle
Hahaha. I had to look ten times at your avatar before I got it. Can you get in trouble for this?
The ego is a dangerous thing to feed…
Isn't believing in something a primordial 'animalish' instinct?
Also, there is no 'arch-Christian'. You have as much types of Christianity as you have Christians. 'Being a good Christian' really depends on where you live. If you live in some bible-belt village, being a good Christian was beating up those homosexuals, son. If you are a more liberal Christian, 'being a good Christian' is claiming to believe, and give some to charity, but not follow the (cruel) things god orders in the bible.
There isn't a clear 'Christian Way', no matter how hard certain soul-hungry churches claim.

Uh...yeah. Prove me wrong.many atheists are under the impression that all christians are ignorant bigots[/b]
