No.

Ok I know I’m going to catch a lot of flack for this one but think about it. Evolution basically says that we evolved with out any help from outside forces. Basically it was natural selection and mutations yet they are still looking for the missing link. Creationist say that God or a "God" used intelligent design to create us right? So Aliens who could be perceived as gods depending on how you look at things could of created us. Maybe we are getting prepared for the real truth of things? I really don't know that length of creationsist arguments but this is how i see it. Any thoughts?
So was god an alien?
In World War 2 an American fighter pilot crash-landed in the Brazilian rainforest where he was discovered by an isolated tribe of natives. Impressed by his technical gadgetry and his descent from the sky, these primitive people elevated him to the status of a god and created a religion around him. Today, the “proof” of their religion consists of a series of artifacts hanging from tree branches, including items such as a broken plane engine, an empty cigarette lighter and a rusting pocketknife. But to the educated reader, these artifacts are instead testimony to the fact that the artifacts of a religion are not proof of the religion itself but rather proof of the actual event which occurred (and was quite possibly misinterpreted). As Arthur C. Clarke once said, “any sufficiently advanced technology is perceived as miracle”. Could Christianity be the product of a similar misinterpretation?
To its credit, this hypothesis can explain all of the events in the Bible and in other ancient religious documents all throughout the world. If it is assumed that it is possible for space aliens to travel a number of light years to Earth in the first place, then a number of the stories in the Bible can be explained in terms of extra-terrestrial intervention. We are told in the Bible that the three wise men followed a moving star, which led them to the location of Jesus. It has been postulated that maybe this star was really Haley’s Comet, as calculations suggest that the comet was in the sky at the time; however, a comet would be pointless and difficult to follow. Alternatively, believers of the “ancient astronaut” theory have suggested that the star could have been a UFO, which the wise men were compelled to follow via telepathic communication with the aliens (which is commonly reported in alien abduction reports).
The birth of Jesus might be elucidated by the speculation that aliens visited Mary in her sleep (which she perceived as a dream in which she was visited by angels). The aliens could have artificially inseminated her with genetically engineered, or possibly even alien sperm; and this could explain the superhuman abilities which Jesus was reported to have had, and also the fact that Mary gave birth while she was still a virgin. So, perhaps Jesus was one of the first alien-human hybrids.
This idea has spawned a number of alien cults, the most popular being the Raelian Movement (which has over 35,000 members in 85 countries). According to this cult, scientists from another planet used Earth as a giant biological laboratory, on which they created all life using DNA, and created man in their own image. In December 1973, a French journalist (Rael) was supposedly contacted by a visitor from this other planet, and was dictated a message (basically consisting of a re-translation of the Bible in terms of extra-terrestrial intervention). He has now published this message as a series of books, which you can order over the Internet from the Raelian Revolution Virtual Shop. Rael was also asked to prepare an embassy for the aliens where they could officially land among us, bringing with them all the prophets as predicted by every religion.
Yes, it is possible that visitors from outer space did land on earth a few thousand years ago and communicate with our ancestors. But it is also possible that the prehistoric people were responsible for their own art, technology and culture. Maybe the writings within the Bible are mere stories and poems attempting to explain our place and purpose in the Universe; perhaps also in an attempt to satisfy the basic human desire for an afterlife. And maybe these fundamental aspects of human nature similarly inspired the other worldwide religions.
Or maybe the fundamentalist Christians were right all along (after all, the Sun does revolve around the Earth, the Earth is at the centre of the Universe, and all the other religions are wrong anyway, aren’t they?
If you believe this, This is were you draw the line between the makers of us and the creator of our universe. It's not a far fetched theory, it gives us answers for what we have to go on. But I like to have more "fairy tale spice" in my religion.
You do this every fucking time.
No sweat.
No tears.
No guilt.
You do this every fucking time.

Could be. Why not? There is no reason why not and lots of reasons why. For instance: everyone that reports being abducted by aliens has universal blood type. Maybe aliens are geneticists. Maybe we are an experiment. How did DNA get on Earth anyway? By chance it self created? Impossible. Even the simplest DNA fro the most primitive single cell creature is way more complex than the computer you're at right now. Why did major civilizations, art, writing, religion, philosophy, etc. pop up 5,000 years ago all over the globe? All the cultures said that the "gods" taught them these things. And how did chimps turn into humans suddenly? It was a major major jump in evolution the like never experienced before. And we are wierd creatures. So very very wierd and strange it never ceases to blow me away. Look at our heads! Look at our bodies. Look at what we do! we are the wierdest animal ever!
I believe that aliens have something to do with us. Hey, why not? It is completely logical and rational hypothesis.
You say it's impossible? Bees can fly, your argument is invalid.

Seis if your gonna argue against what "i" and a few other people might believe, please don't post on this thread.

Then why did you create this thread if you didn't want an arguement/discussion? If people don't agree with it then it is their right to speak their opinion.
Oh and btw, i'm not trying to stereotype, but do you believe that 9/11 was a conspiracy also? Sorry, i just seem to find that the sort of people that believe in this alien stuff often believe in the 9/11 conspiracy theories.
I know of an appropriate phrase started and spread by a bunch of flatmates of mine from a couple of years back which I'll apply here. It goes something like this:

"Err... no"

Hypothesis 1 says: "random interactions of matter and energy create a self sustaining set of chemical reactions which gradually impove themselves via mutations in a genetic code which eventually forms humans."
Hypothesis 2 says: "random interactions of matter and energy create a self sustaining set of chemical reactions which gradually impove themselves via mutations in a genetic code which eventually forms aliens who fly to Earth and set up a similar process which eventually forms humans."
Occam's razor says: "piss off, hypothesis 2."

I don't get your point. Also I am not trying to prove anything. I am not claiming to know, I am just saying that it is very plausible. I am not saying that all life was created by aliens either.
And I know that we didn't come from chimps but that chimps and humans came from a common ancestor. Chimps barely evolved and we did a major jump in evolution that was like a complete transformation mutation in a split second (evolutionary time) and since then we have evolved beyond evolution.
Well technically bees can't fly. But they do.
And chimps didn't evolve as drastically as humans because humans, or ardipithecus, rather, were introduced into new and drastically different environments.

It isn't much of a discussion. It is just "No" or "You're wrong" and things like that. It is fine if it is stated as an opinion. But it is stated like they know for sure. Anything outside a little box is dismissed. This isn't even a spiritual or religious conversation. It is a valid possibility. It's not like we are going anywhere with this, as if we are going to prove one way or the other.
...a "valid possibility" that is not considerable.

You can't say it isn't not impossible just as i can say that it is possible.

Ok from this post on i don't want no argument, just a simple response which will not provoke a argument......Okeeeyy?

Oh and Lucid seeker i don't beleive the 9/11 conspiricy or the 7/7 one because i was at the 7/7 one.
How boring... kinda like a person going to a freethinker's forum and posting stuff on whatever belief they have and expect not to face criticism or scepticism. "Agree to disagree"? Sorry, that's not how freethinking works. If you put up some sort of opinion on the intarweb, you are gonna get criticism or debate. Don't want to face scepticism? Then don't make your opinions known or go to some circle jer.. ummm, I mean group which shares your ideas. Posting this on the R/S forum is only asking for trouble.
And yes, Xei wins. Get him some cake.
