I agree, but competition is part of life. Human beings didn't invent competition as an excuse to be cruel to each other, we inherited a system through which life exists where we have to protect our livlihoods.
But competition isn't the only natural law in the universe, and the fact is for an amoeba to become a fish, assimilation had to take place as well. This is also a natural process, as we seel cells join together to form multicelled organisms, we see animals join together to form groups. We see human competed, then tribes competed, then nations and now empires and economic communities are competing to exploit what few industries in the world left are not apart of their family.
Human beings can continue this road of competition until either one empire wins the game and forms the hegemony, and the people come together once more, in one final step of assmilation, under the united purpose of changng the system so no one is left behind and so people aren't just sitting back and collecting their paychecks off the blood and sweat of others anymore.
