Because most deities are sociopaths... I mean, seriously, the whole "believe in me or else!" concept is shit scary it's exactly how I play as a God in Black & White 2... I think that is the story of religion condensed to one short sentence. If you ever write a book about world religions throughout history, that should be the title.

Actually, that is an observation. I, however, like to poke fun at everything sometimes... I mean, why not? It's good to have a laugh.

But it is a shame how the media allows the whims of radical muslims to dictate what can be shown and what can't... other religious figures get mocked all the time, so what makes islamic religious figures so special? It is quite silly really...

Christians generally do not, and I would even say that Christians in general are trouble makers. If you don't turn the other cheek when you see "intolerance", aren't you going against what Jesus said?

In the UK, theres something called inciting religious hatred, and it kind of limits free speech in this area.

Worse than what? I think if someone is not advocating taking anyone's freedoms or rights away, which I and probably 99% of atheists would never advocate, that's tolerant enough. Arguing is fair, and it is meaningless to me to say you have to be "tolerant" in a debate. If I think something is stupid and illogical and childish and ridiculous and dangerous, it's OK to say that. The other person can either defend their belief, or give up and quit arguing. Crying about people not being tolerant is just a cop-out when people realize that their argument is full of holes.

You say if something is "illogical", you can make fun of it. Outside of religion, how many illogical things exist in ones personal life. Should we start attacking all this illogical stuff, just because its illogical. People who eat unhealthily, people who have pets, people who like fiction, people who watch television. People who do anything that doesn't benefit their existence.
