Of course, that only half the story. All these problems have been caused by a regressive idiotic sect of Islam that seems to be dedicated to sending the whole of the Islamic world back to the medieval times. I don't know enough to say whether the Quran supports the reformists or fundamentalists, but I know the common sense supports the reformists.
