it is based on the belefs of the people of the day, and has no grounding in Scripture, so I think it is a good read as to the way the people of that age thought, but should not be in a text book as the deffinition of the after-life.
The divine comedy is a poem which shows the circles of hell, the levels of purgatory and the places of heaven...personally i think that it is completely and utterly incomprehensable...
