What do you want to do when you get to Heaven?
Well the first thing i want to do is just to give a huge hug to My lord and Savior Jesus Christ and to God and just thank you for creating me, protecting me, and just having mercy on me when i don't deserve it. 3rdd thing i want to do is see my relatives that have moved on before me and give them a hug and tell them how much i missed them. Forth thing thing worship God and Jesus. And finally play a baseball game with Babe Ruth, Ty Cobb, Jackie Robinson, Lou Gehrig, Mickey mantle , Roger Maris and all of the great players of all time.Run up to Him and fall at His feet and thank Him for maybe a million years. Then have the rest of eternity to enjoy in the New Heavens and the New Earth. The possibilities are endless!!!It's just so. . .Looking forward to the Feast Jesus has setup for us.
Seeing The Father and Son and The Holy Spirit.
I want to hug and hold the Face of my Beloved Savior, provided I can muster the strength to get up off my knees. A simple thank you just wouldn't do.
Seeing my parents, and other family and friends.
Seeing and greeting all the Great people of the Bible.
Looking forward to Ruling and Reigning with Jesus.
Does anyone else feel like these people desperately want to be children again? I mean granted, the carefree innocence of the childhood years is probably some of the most cherished times and memories in a person's life, but. . . I mean, damn.
Also, more than half of the posts the people posting say how they can't wait to see a dead relative, usually someone really close like a father or mother. I can't help but think that this is the reason they cling so hard to this false promise of an afterlife. It's really sad (and not a "they're stupid" sad, but a real sad).

Yeah. It really is sooo unfortunate, just this level of.. whatever. Just think how many more brain cells these people could have developed if they had let go of some of these fantasies as they grew into adults. There's a reason why 95% of the scientific community identifies as an atheist/agnostic.
But we can all definitely sympathize with wanting to see dead relatives. Then again... just become a good LD-er and you'll get essentially what you want.

That is what I was thinking. If they would learn lucid dreaming, they could live out all of those fantasies on a regular basis. The baseball game with the legends could be a good lucid task of the month. The difference between doing it in Heaven and doing it in a lucid dream is that you can actually outplay Babe Ruth and Mickey Mantle in a lucid. In a real setting, you will just suck and get laughed at.

That's... sort of offensive, not gonna lie. Whoever said being free of responsibility is bad anyway? Hell, babies have it so good. They get fed, given attention, loved unconditionally... that's be awesome (well without the whole crapping in the pants deal.)
Maybe heaven is a lie, but since we'll never know, at least it's a good one. I'm sure someone's ruined something - some surprise or secret - for you at least once in your life, don't be the one to try to ruin this for anyone else, no matter how ignorant they seem. It's only polite...
Though talking about it here's fine of course ha.
That's funny you mentioned that because I've tried several times and I can LD at will but I can't dream of people who passed consciously, I can only get dreams of the dead subconsciously. Has anyone been successful with that consciously? It would be pretty interesting to know.
Also, those posts seemed to be pretty genuine feelings of people. To bad none of them will actually go to Heaven.
Yea, cause an atheist speaking his mind on religion has never offended anybody
And I agree with you that a majority of the time I feel like I want the exact same thing (unconditional love and someone to take care of all your problems, etc.), but I don't delude myself into thinking I'll actually get it. And after I die of all the unlikely places/times.

Its kind of like the Matrix where you can choose to take the Red Pill or the Blue Pill.
One takes you to playing baseball with Mickey Mantel and high fiving Jesus and the other....
Some are born to sweet deleight
Some are born to endless night
Trust...?
You want to run from the universe, to somewhere 'better'?
Pretending and playing these games with your mind...
Relax into what is heaven. Heaven is here, now - NowHere.
Without effort, without words. Ultimate relaxation, death to elaboration.
You merely have to change your point of view slightly, and then that glass will sparkle when it reflects the light.

That is why I generally don't ever argue about this stuff when people who don't want to hear it are listening. Religion forums are the only places I ever debate religion any more. If Christians would drop the Hell concept and stop pushing their religion on my strip clubs and liquor stores and Muslims would stop blowing up innocent people in the name of Allah Blah Blah Shazam and holy virgins, I probably would not feel the need to debate religion at all.
