Apparently children are being radicalised al-qaeda fashion by the sickos who run these camps.

Ah yes I saw that allready... quite horrible. I guess that is the way some, and maybe alot, of american christian communities are going. : /

Isn't there some rule in america that forbits religious extremism like this? : (

No, quite the opposite. Goverment isn't really supposed to get involved with religion at all.

That's a laugh Bush is reported as saying that God told him to invade Iraq! He listens to right-wing Christian kooks!

Yes, and many of us are quite uncomfortable with a chief executive who claims to get his orders from God. But that's still not the same as legislating what religions can and cannot do.

When the President talks to God
Are the conversations brief or long?

Judging by the monumental fuck-ups Bush has made in Iraq, I'm guessing, very short. That, or Bush forgot to take notes.

aw so we can blame god for dead children in iraq...wouldnt be the first time.

anyways I've always thought that the fat woman in that Jesus Camp movie should be used like a whale, use her for lamp oil. Why does she have to ruin children?

(btw the pres. of the most powerful country claimed an invisible guy in the sky talks to him, and even told him to go to war? shouldn't he have been overthrown? or put in a hospitol or jailed or killed or something by now? pfft...democracy...even a mentally insane man that has invisible friends that "talk" to him can be in power...)

When some one talks to God its prayer.
When God talks back that person is considered crazy.

Well I’m still kind of young and I still remember going to some church camp every summer until I was twelve. I actually don’t remember much about it but the food and snacks and very good punch. I think it was like Kool-Aid and sherbet and something very tasty. All of the church camps I remember and been to I don’t remember anyone ever crying for forgiveness or speaking in tongues, you shouldn't make kids experiance that, or anyone else. All of them I been have pretty much talked about sharing or being kind.

But I remember this one time we were having this contest where we had to jump like 10 feet in one jump and if we do we get a whole jar of jellybeans. Pretty easy to figure out the point of the project was that you couldn’t do anything without God’s help. So my turn came up and I prayed, out loud, for God to help me jump 10 feet to win a can of jellybeans. Of course I didn’t jump 10 feet and I was beginning to think this was all pretty stupid. Then she gave everyone a bunch of jellybeans. And she went on saying that the project was about anything is possible though Christ and no one said anything else to question it because we were all eating jellybeans .

In other words, if you are going to have a church camp, don’t teach kids things that are easy to disprove, it’s pointless, just make them share jellybeans with one another. I have been to a school that was crazy Christians. Everything was evil to them! Everyone was evil to them! They must of skipped the Jesus preaching to love everyone and stayed in the Old Testament verses about stoning just about everyone. For people who were so concerned about stem cells they sure didn’t mind wanting everyone else to die. I did go to a camp with these people but I guess God didn’t protect them and everyone got sick from the camp water before they could start whining about how evil Harry Potter is.

The church camp you attended sounded quite benign. the Jesus Camps are run by rabid extremists imo!

I dislike church-camps, even the normal ones, as much as I hate christian school.

It is just pure indoctrination.
