It's a fact christians are trying to turn gay people.
It's a fact mormons are even more against homosexuality then other christians.
It's a fact there are mormon religious extremists in america.

It's very probable that a mormon indivudual Has used these methods.

It's all very well and good to tell us how Mormons torture homosexuals, but, whatever I think of Mormons, I'd still like a link to the article (or an article) about it. I don't believe everything I read on the internet.

You edited your post.. Might want to edit it again. Indivudual? Individual plx. Either way, maybe a mormon individual or small mormon "representing" group has done this, but if these methods are endorsed by mormons in general.. I&#39;m unsure if I can believe that. It&#39;s very extreme.

I agree. Something like this, accusing an entire religion of doing something so extreme is very.. extreme.

Man. I think Mormons are stupid at times. I think their standpoint on homosexuality is pretty damned stupid.
But I think this thread is stupider.
Likely born out of some heavily anti-Mormon propaganda groups.

Despite the mythology, misinformation and paranoia about Mormons, they&#39;re actually a pretty down-to-earth lot. Better than the average Christian religion, I&#39;d say. For one, they acknowledge that the Bible isn&#39;t the direct and unerring word of god--translation errors and whatnot. Two, they&#39;re mostly pretty nice people. Sometimes you run into some really hard-core Bible-thumpers among Mormons, who won&#39;t even talk to people who aren&#39;t Mormon, excepting that they&#39;re trying to convert them, but as a whole they&#39;re nice guys. My ex-bishop still talks to me without trying to reconvert me, and he&#39;s a nice, level-headed guy.

Give up on the Mormon bashing. The story is either false or non-representative of the population. All the Mormons I know would wince at that story because of the cruelty exhibited. Yes, Mormons don&#39;t agree with homosexuality, but they perscribe that gay people should try to find the answer through prayer and self-examination, not shock therapy. They also believe (According to the New Era-their youth magazine) that while homosexuality is a sin, you shouldn&#39;t try to cure anybody of it--it is part of their test of being here on Earth, and they need to work through it on their own, because it is their trial to face.
So this is akin to telling everybody about a killing spree a Buddhist went on. Yeah, sure, a Buddhist could do that. But that doesn&#39;t make all Buddhists gun-slinging mass-murderers.

I&#39;d suggest that all of you read up on the Mormon church--not from a criticizing outside source, but actually try going through church websites or talking to some missionaries. Don&#39;t necessarilly go and get converted on the spot, but listen to what they have to say. They might not be divinely inspired. Hell, I think they&#39;re outright crazy--but no more so than any other religion. But the fact is, Mormons aren&#39;t crazed maniacs, and the world ought recognize that.

there is sufficient evidence that certain species of mice, and insects, will try to mate with the same sex if a certain gene, or combination of genes is altered or removed, although studies of humans has not yet been conducted, i think there is a very high chance that this very well may be true for all species.
