Inanimate objects exist.
This makes no sense.

What if 'God' is the consciousness of everything, all subjectively witnessing itself. In that case, I would assume that once you die, you would join this collective witnessing of everything. But that would be really intense, to see every perspective of every living thing in the universe all at the same time.
Feel free to criticize / tell me what your theory is.

they also do in our dreams, I was talking about animate objects though. Although I haven't put much thought into it yet

There could be a universe, and this super consciousness, that would take care of the inanimate objects. Suppose consciousness created the universe and in the process, separated itself into other consciousnesses a.k.a. us.

Ok. But what justification is there to think this true?
Kyrie Eleison.
I suggest the rewording of the title to "My Hypothesis on Death", as the argument does not meet any sort of requirement for a theory. It is at best unsubstantiated speculation.
Let's not abuse words...

I was tired, and the word 'hypothesis' never came to mind, 'theory' seemed to fit, oops. My use of 'what if' is just my way of pondering things, the seeing of 'what if' as a sign of stupidity ahead is a warning of someone who is incapable of considering different opinions. It just seemed like an interesting thought to me at the time, justified or not.

I haven't looked into Hinduism at all, so I'm not familiar with their thoughts on death.

There are a lot of different sects of Hinduism. Some of them believe you can become one with all consciousness even in this life time, and a lot of them believe you eventually become one with all consciousness after a lot of reincarnations if you advance your spirit enough during your many lives.
I heard this theory before and i think its pretty good. at the least it Makes more sense then Christianity.
Some are born to sweet deleight
Some are born to endless night

Of all the theories I've came across, it makes the most sense to me.

I'm curious, how did you came up with this theory? And yes I think it's a theory. Did your dreams help you to form this view? I've had a similar view. I call this collective your talking about the Unified Field of Consciousness. We all have an individual conscious. This individual conscious is represented by tongues of fire in Christianity :
![]()
Or a light bulb over a cartoon characters head. The light of intelligence aka the light of consciousness.
When the many lights of individual consciousness come together they form the unified field of consciousness. This unified field of consciousness is represented by a sun in some cultures. I believe that cultures that worship the sun as a god were actually worshipping the concept of the unified field of consciousness.
You said, "What if 'God' is the consciousness of everything, all subjectively witnessing itself."
Gods name supports your assertion. Yahweh means "I Am that Am" or "I am that which exists".
I believe we perceive reality from a collective state, we just don't realize it. It's that unified perspective that allows us to have a common view of "reality". We all view reality from a collective state. Insanity is when someone strays from that overall collective. For example, if I say I see a UFO and no one else sees it, someone might conclude I'm crazy; but if I see the UFO and the five people besides me also see it then one would conclude I'm sane.
I think it makes sense.
Actually, from the perspective of quantum physics and the uncertainty principle; all things "observe" the universe. All things measure the universe in one way or another. This act of observation could be considered a form of consciousness. That's why scientists can't predict the position of particles, neither with the naked eye nor with instruments, because all things "measure" the universe in it's own way, both inanimate and the animate. So when all observations merge they form one stable coherent unified field of consciousness. These observations don't trigger decoherence of superposition.
There isn't just one unified field of consciousness, but there are many. Each one is designed to accommodate a certain form of logic. Logic that isn't compatible with that particular unified field can't merge with the collective. Religion is designed to ensure that one's consciousness merges with a larger collective. For each faith there is a form of logic associated with it. And with that logic there is a unified field of consciousness. If you adhere to that religion and the precepts which define it in the afterlife your conscious will merge with the larger unified field. That is the purpose of Christianity, to ensure you merge with a larger whole. But if that consciousness isn't directed it shall remain incompatible with any unified field of consciousness. It will wander detached from a larger whole. Such forms of consciousness are known as wraiths. From a Hindu perspective that consciousness will probably be reincarnated as a lesser life-form like a bug.
In fact it's my theory that fraterities like Freemasonry are designed for the specific purpose of forming a unified field of consciousness shaped by the logic of that order.
Me too.

The word you're looking for isn't "consciousness" but action/reaction.
