I don't know about your other questions, but unfortunately... I have asked similar questions to my very Christian friend, and her answer was, "I may not know God's plan, but I know that he has a plan for all of us." There really was no point in continuing the conversation.

another thing that has been bugging me is. why is hell a bad place? i mean Satan wants people to follow him right? so why do they suffer for doing so?

I also wonder what's the point of praying. i mean god knows everything so wouldn't it be sufficient just to think about god?

Answer to the first question: because god DOESN'T care!

God is testing you. He wants you to believe in him NO MATTER WHAT.

He even wants you to believe in him if he doesn't exist! Now that's hardcore faith you can sink your teeth into!

yeah it is a test of your faith, just like the fossils we has laid down, the geological, chemical, astronomical evidence that the Earth is more then 6000 years old. that's all false, it's to see whether we stand strong with God, rather then believe the lies he places for us, like pitfalls in a road we must avoid them.

Also for suffering we all have original sin so we are punished for Adam and Eve's disobedience of God when they ate the forbidden fruit. This is why children in Africa are starving, it is punishment for sin.

For hell being painful, this is a punishment for not following Christianity. Jesus says he is the only way into heaven, so unfortunately if one doesn't accept Jesus as their savior and the son of God, they will go to hell, this means Jews now go to hell as they refuse to accept Jesus as the light of the world. God says to us he is a jealous God, he is punishing us from turning away from him. What better punishment then never ending torture, your organs being ripped out of you by the creatures of hell over and over again, never ending suffering.

As for praying Jesus said to us ask and you shall receive. So in praying to God he will help you to show his love for you. If hundreds pray for the same thing then maybe it draws his attention to it. You may say well if he needs people to tell him what problems need fixing, poverty, natural disaster etc, he is not Omnipotent/Omniscient. Well Gods nature is complex.

well the real answer is this....God does not exist. But I will play along after reading the bible God comes across as evil, smug, jealous and petty why should he care all he wants is for us to tell him how great he is.

well the real answer is simply..because he doesnt exist and miracles are a small attempt to keep control and inspire "faith"

There is no point, it has been proved not to be of any effect. I guess some would say it comforts them but really its just avoidance of dealing with ones problems
