Thread: A question for the Catholics......

Im no Catholic but i can tell you that if your a good person and try to be good and repent your sins in a confession weekly in a Catholics eyes you would go to Heaven or purgatory for the remainder of your sins.

I think a Catholic would like y ou to join the Catholic church formally and you would have to end your connection with any protestants churchs(leo volont considers them satanic)



Suffering under a jealous god is unjust and if god is almight as people would say then he is not bothered with those emotions of Jealousy and greeed.

If such a god was beleived in then you would know god doesnt exist.

You should be more wise not to ask these kind of questions it is how you live your life that determines will you go to hell

I guess I should clarify by saying that I don't believe in god or heaven or hell.
Really wanted to know if the Catholics here thought I belonged in hell even if my life
was a mirror image of the accepted "good Christian " minus the faith. If there really is a
god , am I going to be tortured for eternity just because I didn't believe in him ?
What about rewarding me for my effort to be a good person even without the fear of damnation hanging over my head ? All for naught ?

As far as catholicism is concerned, it's not about whether you're a good person or not. It's about you funding the church.

Carter, if you are worried about it, I suggest you go to as many Catholic priests as you can and talk to them. Debate them, if it comes to that. It probably won't, though, because if you ask a priest the really probing questions, like the ones you just asked, they will probably answer truthfully and say, are you ready for this? "I don't know."

When you listen and talk to them, you really find out that they're idiots just like everyone else.

Then, if you really have the guts, tell them how irresponsible they are for playing with people's hopes and fears by spreading their ignorance around. Because that's what it is - they just said so.

As for the Protestants, well, they flaunt their idiocy, and as Catholics become more and more like them, it will be much easier on all the freethinkers.

You will not go to Hell for severely damaging little boys' lives by molesting them, but you WILL be moved to another city. Don't say I didn't warn you.

The real seriousness is not in majorly harming others. The act that is so horrendous that you will deserve eternal fire torture is honestly not being able to make sense of the idea that God exists, no matter how hard you try. How dare you!
