I don't believe in God.

I'm not spiritual, but I do meditate occasionally.

I'm confident that there is no afterlife.

I was going to proclaim myself a devout atheist...which is true in general.

But really, nothing can be known. The only thing that one can be sure of is that you exist.

That being said...it is highly unlikely that God and/or afterlife exist.

I don't believe in God. I don't think we were put here. I think we grew here like mold grows on old bread. I am a human organism with a conscience, and my emotions value human life very much, but from a logical standpoint, I think we are insignificant growth on a spec of dirt floating around in infinite space and that nothing matters.

oh and forget aliens, folks. In the vast scope of things, we're an infinitesimal speck and our relative existance is a blink...so the chances of another race existing at the EXACT same time as us, and be close enough for a visit, assuming they even get the technology....infinitely improbable.

I believe in "God" -- a mass of amorphous matter from which all other matter was spawned. Details not important.

I don't know how we got here (it's impossible for anyone to KNOW that), but I believe the purpose of existance... Is to live and experiance life... to evolve as a person...

I see each person as a constantly evolving piece of art... with it's own story to tell, it's own beauty, uglyness, pleasure and pain...

So, a religion forum where almost eveyone is not a "spiritual" persons?

are you saying our beliefs about religion are without value because they aren't beliefs
in religion ? I believe what I believe. And I don't ask for money or ass rape anyone
while I'm at it; which is more than can be said for most conventional theologies.
I'll give the churches their props though , 2000+ years of fanaticism without a shred of
tangible evidence.

Actually, now that I've given up on my childhood fantasies, and in turn started believing in myself, I'm happier than I have ever been

That's an excellent descriptor. Everyone that prays to god has to come up with excuses: "it wasn't gods will" kinda crap.

I believe in myself, my skill, my wherewithall, my strength. I don't have to make excuses for myself. The same can't be said for some imaginary deity

I took this to mean that discussing religion in this forum with us non believers would
be a waste of your time. That we do not have the requirements . Such as sitting in a chair

I believe that a creator is possible, and that my own dissatisfaction with evidence toward his existence is not proof of his inexistence. I believe that organized religion is wrong in every since of the word, and that people should no more spend their lives pining for proof of a presence that may be nothing but pathological than drawing conclusions about the inexistence of a being because it hasn't measured up to their false sense of "I Know what existence would be like if there was a God, and its not that way, so God doesn't exist."

I believe in mirroring self-respect with love for others.
