Hey there miss_eri.
I find this fascinating. I am conducting a color quiz in the Research Forum. I really think that predominant colors for each individual can mean something. I can only speculate but through art research it has been noted that different colors often invoke or a derived from different emotions.

These dreams you have. Are they Lucid?
If they are lucid I have noticed that if I make an effort to realize the color it become emphasized. Sometimes surreal, spectacular.
If they are not lucid then you may just want to notice and be aware of the content in your dreams. If your mind is implying something it would most likely change if you receive it's message.
You can of coarse take the color quiz too.

Thanks for replying. Actually most of my dreams are more semi-lucid because I usually can't control 100%....but I do what I can as long as it goes along with the plot of my dreams. Like sucessfully escaping from bad things or jumping off a high place to to feel like Im falling because it's fun and I knew I was dreaming or something else really unatural like running though walls and such. Spur of the moment type things.

For example a few nights ago, I had a dark shady dream as usual, no white colors just alot of grey and black, navy blue shades and I was a parking lot of a local mall. Then these aliens wanted to kill me off so I decided to escape by flying back to my house. Now here is the funky part, everytime that I jumped into the sky in order to fly back hom I can notice the green trees and everything turns to color even the sky starts to turn blue....and then I would loose control and fall back down and everything is dark again. It's like the more control I have over a dream the darker it is...the less control the more colorful it is. Really sucks. Im always running around in the dark in my dreams. I think that maybe Im not sleeping deep enough.

Thanks for the tip. Im going to try to acknowledge the colors next time to see what happens.

Usually I can just Yell out Clarity! in my Lucid Dreams and the Picture is unbelievably clear from the point. Give that a try also.

Hmmm. Well let's see. The most effective way I can think of would be to incubate color into your dreams. You're going to have to sort of "unlearn" that most of your dreams are full of drab color. There are a few ways of doing this:

1) While you're awake, during the day, really take note of your surroundings. Whenever you have free time, stop and just examine things. Really immerse yourself in how beautiful the colors are, around you. Imagine what it's going to be like when you see those colors in a dream. Tell yourself that your dreams should/will have this sort of color variety in them. Over time (an overnight change is possible, but don't expect it), your awareness of, and attention to, color should become more center-stage, in your dreams.

2) While you're going to sleep, reflect back on the concept of color. Remember that you should be dreaming soon and, when you do, the colors should be vibrant and true-to-life. Forget the urge to tell yourself "but my dreams are usually devoid of bright color." Completely put that out of your mind. The object is to get your subconscious to link the concepts of "dreams" and "color" so that there is a better chance it will blend the two while you're dreaming.

3) When/if you're in a lucid dream, just remember how vibrant waking-world colors really are and repaint the scene with that in mind. You can spin yourself and will yourself to see the colors when you stop spinning or maybe close your (dream) eyes and will yourself to see vibrant colors when you open them. The way you accomplish this, while lucid, is really up to you, as long as you go into it with the will to make it happen, and not the doubt that it may happen, when you try it.

about 150mg of vitamin b6 make my dreams very vivid and clear. Don't become reliant on that because if you think the only time you can have a vivid dream is when you take b6, then your other dreams may not seem as vivid.
