Maybe your just bored and keeping yourself amused. I have been known to randomly beat out a few tunes from some crazy tune.
Okay so I just thought of something I have been doing allot over the past year that I never really thought about. Sometimes I will be talking to my girlfriend in person or on the phone late at night and I will be really tired. Like the point where it's hard to stay on topic you know? Well I do this thing where like when I'm at this point I play out conversations in my head but not on purpose. I will actually think other people are with me. For example I was in an argument with my girlfriend one time and at random times I would just be like "Alden stop it man" or something because I thought I was somewhere else with different people. And my girlfriend would just be like who the fuck are you talking. Does anyone know what this is?

Haha well yes the conversations can be pretty damn lame but it's not like that, once I realize I'm doing it I feel like the biggest idiot lmao but I still continue to do it at random for the rest of the night usually.

I advice you the book "The Power Of Now" by Eckhart Tolle. This book talks exactly about these kind of conversations in your head. And how to deal with them..![]()

It sounds like something I do when I have passed the point of exhaustion or am in the throws of an extreme anxiety attack and become "cataplexic".
If I'm talking to someone, driving, writing etc and I reach that state, I'll start inserting dream subjects. Like one time I was talking to my son who woke me up to ask me a question. I woke and started answering his question, then started talking about carrots.
If I'm taking notes, I'll keep writing even though I'm starting to dream. My writing becomes much smaller and extremely sloppy and I begin writing about what I'm dreaming about as well as what I'm taking notes about.
I would say you're extremely exhauted when these things are happening. People always told me it takes a long time for a person to start dreaming once they fall asleep. But a sleep doctor told me that's not true at all if a person is particularly exhausted.
Just try to get more sleep or call her back if you get too tired![]()

A friend of mine is a prolific sleep talker, it drives his girlfriend crazy.
Apparently, he can quite often fall asleep mid conversation (if he's in bed) and will continue the conversation whilst asleep and semi-conscious, it's not till he says something utterly nuts that his GF realises and wakes him up.
Has cause a lot of hilarious situations.
