Thread: Weird things when i wake up.

haha I know how you feel. I do not know the exact reasons to why this happens but I assume it is the "brain imagery" I forget the technical word for it. But I think it is the shapes you see when you close your eyes which eventually turns into figures at the start of dreaming. though, I think it is the same thing but at the end of the dream. Like your brain transitioning from sleep/dreams to being awake so some of those figures or images remains. I have had shapes look like people, dark figures and spiders which makes me always run for the hills. It so sad I actually run out of my bed.

Glad im not the only one. And sadly i have cried (when younger) and ran out of my room too, sometimes i don't remember and i was told the next morning o.O lol but thanks for the reply

Some years ago, I started having some visions when awake, but meditating. I discovered one day that if I open my eyes during a vision, and I'm sure that would hold true for a dream as well, the image on my dreamscreen was instead projected outward, and appeared to be several feet in front of me, small, and floating in midair. I suspect that might be what happened to you!

At the time, I was studying about shamans, and I kept having visions of little tiny shamans, like from all kinds of tribal peoples all over the world, all dressed differently. The one I opened my eyes during was leaping back and forth over a campfire, and it looked so funny projected out in midair like that! I wondered if that is where the ideas of faeries and other small beings come from.

i guess that' because you didn't quite "wake up" yet. I'll be falling asleep and every once in a while, I'll hear somebody talking. That can be scary.
