I've tried B6 a few times, also with no positive results. Neither my recall nor the vividness of my dreams were affected; although the first time I tried it, I had serious difficulty falling asleep.I think different people just have different reactions to it.
Edit: I forgot to mention that the first couple of times I used B6, I used it in conjunction with Zinc. The most recent time I took the B6 by itself.
