Unclear what device you're working with? I'll try to keep this simple. For an audio track to induce brainwave entrainment, the Left and right channel must be some number of Hz apart. You can only hear down to about 20 Hz. To entrain to a theta level for instance, you might have the R side at 100 Hz and Left side at 104 Hz. Both of those signals are well within the audio range of 20 - 20K Hz. However, your brain perceives the additive effect of these signales which is a periodic wavefrom with a 4 Hz amplitude modulation. The amp modulation is what coaxes your brain toward 4 Hz activity.

The best way to learn how to use the brainwave generator program is to print out all of the help files, and then when you have a couple of days free, go through all of those help files and build some examples yourself.

There are all kinds of sounds that can be created with the brainwave generator program, many of which you will find under some of the example programs like a helicopter sound.

Unfortanately though, most of the presets that come with brainwave generator are built with a pitch that is way to high for most people to enjoy in addition to causing headaches in a lot of people.

To build a program you can listen to without getting a headache lower the pitch to somewhere between 150 and 200, as this will give you a lower tone which is more relaxing and pleasant to listen to.

how about a nice link to a generator i felt u guys should checkout. Lols posts ur replies on it..Anyways its free and simple: when playing a frequency and u want to change to another frequency "(1)FIRST" hit the stop botton (2)then drop the arrow in the frequency "bar". (3)select a new frequency whatever...the are lots of them inducing dream ect....(4) finally hit play and there's ur new frequency of what ever u chose playing in the background....any ways feel free to chech it out....oo and have fun:smile:

note: this one is "FREE" ive searched for other downloads and guess what...they are chargable..i guess me sticking with this one is priceless

lol i was sleepy too at the time, anyways its a brain wave generator..lol i thought it was free to but its just an ivaluation of a month (it supposively help you with lucid dreaming and stuff

Brainwave generator is a program that will produce soundwaves of slightly different frequencies in each ear. The difference tones produce what are called binaural beats, and after 2 minutes or so, your brain will begin to synchronize with binaural beats, as binaural beats of different frequency ranges are present during different cerebral activities.

• High focus and attentiveness for example would create beats with frequencies in the beta range.

• Altertness and attentiveness while in a relaxed state would produce beats with frequencies in the alpha range.

• During times when there is very little brain activity such as when you're in deep deep sleep, beats in the delta range are present, when you are NOT dreaming, or in too deep of a sleep to dream. and yes, there are times where you sleep and actually do not dream.

• during sleep, unconsciousness, hypnagogic state/imagery effects/deep trance state, binaral beats in the theta range are present.

Your brain produces binaural beats all the time. Listening to them will cause your brain to synchronize with whatever frequency you're listening to, thus causing the corresponding result. Just as certain beats are present during certain brain activities, the listening to of binaural beats will create the effects listed above.

The rushing sound you were referring to was white noise, and is supposed to be heard. It has nothing to do with the binaural beats, but listening to binaural beats without some sort of medium would be less effective, because you have other noises interfering. With the white noise playing, nothing interferes, and white noise will not interfere with the frequencies. Even with all the white noise, you should still be able to hear a subtle sustained tone in each ear. The tones will be the slightest fraction of a difference in pitch, depending on what frequency you're on. If you have independent ear plugs, be sure to put each in the corresponding ear correctly. This is pretty damn important.

If you're trying to induce lucid dreams, you won't likely be able to just listen to the brainwave generator and have magical effects, unless you find a preset specifically designed to induce lucid dreams. If you do not have the preset, I suggest listening to beats within the theta range (4-7 hz) because theta is most commonly linked to the dreamstate. If you create your own specific set, i would have it play delta for about 10 minutes, theta for 25 and then beta for 25.

Delta to relax you instantly, and easily induce SP, theta to help you get to sleep but still maintain the hypnagogic state, and beta for when you are dreaming. Beats on the beta range will make you hyper-aware. Beware though, binaural beats are a relatively new thing, and the long term effects are still unknown, so use discretion and caution. If you're pregnant, nursing, have a heart disorder, or have epilepsy, I strongly advise that you never use binaural beats. Jesus Christ I feel like a bloody zoloft commerical. anyway.

Just got this, was wondering if it's normal to listen to it and all of a sudden the noise gets quieter, and quieter then you snap out of it and it's loud and annoying again. Had my eyes closed for a minute and i can make it go quieter and quieter by not thinking of anything, then my ears bring back the noise up again.

I'm using Brain Sound Studio, although similar but the programming is a little different so not much use in going through step by steps on that one, heh.
