Hmm. I don't really know, but maybe 3 or more slices would have some kind of effect.

Allthough I've often read the humor that Cheese is supposed to give vivid dreams, I've never actually, not once, seen anyone confirm it.

Yesterdaynight before I went to sleep I ate 2 sandwitches with Salami and Salsa-sauce. I've heard that hot spices such as garlic and peppers also induce vivid dreams and that nioght I had most amazing dreams. Check my latest DreamJournal entry; Last link of my signature.

It doesn't really confirm anything yet, since I'm also awaiting an REM-rebound which is occuring now that I stopped smoking weed for a couple of days. I'm going to eat the same food again and keep eating it to see if it had anything to do with the dreams I had.

As for Cheese: I've tried it myself before but with no success.

      Not this again.

Like someone above said, no one's proven it to have an effect. You'd have to eat a hell of a lot of it.

I've found that bannanas (or however you spell it) work very well taking them about an hour before you go to sleep. However, I am never able to recall dreams before about 4 am. Try bannanas i have found them very helpful and delicious.

According to the study by the National British Cheese Council, the amount they used in their scientific study was 20g a half hour before bed.

Also, I'd suggest going for cheese over milk, as the enzymatic process involved in the actual creation of cheese seems to have something to do with it. Also, cheese has a higher level of readily digestible tryptophan than cold milk does. I mean, you could drink a cup of hot milk before bed. That might help. Maybe the hot milk AND some cheese? Sounds good to me. Mmm... dairy...
      Yeah.

When I was younger, cheese used to always give me zombie dreams. Annoyingly now that my favourite movie genre is "Zombie" it doesn't work.

Last night I ate half a banana, a large slice of cheese, and vitamin-enriched chocolate milk before bed. I had extremely vivid dreams, but whether the cheese was involved I'm not sure.

"Chesse technique" shall we call it , is basically a bunch of lies. As you can see it does not help the majority of people with lucid dreaming.

This could be true...but I think it's the other way around. Since I've started to have LDs I've had cravings for cheese. Now I usually have several slices of processed every day.
