      Hydrocodone

I had a root canal surgery today, and I was prescribed some Vicodin for the pain.

The 10mg that I am supposed to take, has almost no effect on me; partly because of a naturally strong tolerance and good metabolism. But what if i took it at night? Would that give me any interesting dreams (LD)?

      Anybody know anything about this?

Also, I know this is off topic but..

I discovered that Ambien is a GREAT lucid dream aid.

I know that it is prescription only, but I was given some samples by my doctor for insomnia and found out that if you do not sleep right away, by the time that I brushed my teeth, went downstairs for a bit, watched tv and went to bed... the drug already kicked in, and i was in a semi-dream like state.

Maybe this can be used for WILDs?

In no way do I encourage the use of drugs or prescription medication that you were not prescribed for, for a legit reason. All my inquiries are for scientific and educational reasons only.

There is a possibility of this working, but don't count on any dramatic difference.

Zolpidem (Ambien) actually contains hallucinogenic properties. It is possible to experience a "trip" after taking medication without sleeping.

Yes but it is more 'dream-like' than hallucinogenic. You just seem to be slower and more suspectable to 'seeing things' in your side vision.

Thats why you would have an easy WILD

I've taken Zolpidem and attained hallucinogenic effects before. Though I never thought it would help with attaining a WILD.

I doubt taking vicodin would enhance any sort of dream. I'm pretty sure it would effect your rem sleep, as it is a narcotic, and you'd start dreaming after getting off the vic because of rem rebound.

Actually, i just googled it, and i guess it does.

Interesting. I've been experimenting with codeine recently (lets just say for the sake of this, that codeine is basically a weak form of hydrocodone, which it basically is but I'm not sure about all the pharmacology) and it increases either the amount of dreams I have every night or the amount of dreams I can remember. I'm not really sure which though. The problem is I remember so many god damned dreams that I get them mixed up!

For example I was explaining to my friend that she was in my dream and she asked what happened (we always talk about dreams) and I tried to explain it and realised that I didn't actually know whether the dream she appeared in was the one I was explaining. But I know I dreamt about her and also had the dream I was telling.

It's definitely worth experimenting with though. Maybe if you have really good dream recall you could remember all the dreams correctly.
Doses over say, 96 mg, usually induce hypnotic states and I go in and out of dreams or day dreams if I am lying in bed. So I think it could easily help with WILD, I shall try tonight. I have a 96 mg extraction almost ready.

Note: I am not abusing this drug, my wisdom teeth are coming through and I won't have time to get them out until the holidays, about 2-4 weeks or something. Codeine numbs the pain, and has the side effect of lots of dreams. But don't abuse codeine, you'll become a junkie and die constipated!
For thousands of years, human beings had screwed up and and trashed and crapped on this planet, and now history expected me to clean up after everyone.
I have to wash out and flatten my soup cans. And account for every drop of used motor oil. And I have to foot the bill for nuclear waste and buried gasoline tanks and land filled toxic sludge dumped a generation before I was born.
