Wow.. I'm sorry that happened to you. I've taken B6 and it did seem to make my dreams more vivid but not in a bad way.
I can tell you that sadly you'll never know if it was a one time thing unless you try it again. I'm just afraid that if you do try it again you will be so anxious about having a bad experience that you will cause it to happen.
Maybe try B6 one night and melatonin the next and see what happens.. perhaps it was the combo that was the problem.
Good luck with whatever you decide to do and here's hoping that any nightmares you may have will merely help you realize that you're dreaming!!
