Won't it Just Keep Me Up?

Well I've got no B6 in the house but I was looking to try some kind of ingested lucid aid tonight combined with a tech. I was thinking about eating something sugary like Fruit Pastilles and/or some white bread and drinking a bottle of Poweraid. Apparently, this kind of stuff helps and I believe that it will work because the caffine and sugar keeps you active and runs energy through your body while you sleep, giving you vividity, right?

      BUT...

Will all this sugar and caffine just keep me awake at night rather than keep me active in my sleep? Also, what time should I ingest it all? Right before sleep, one hour before? And if I want to try a WBTB tonight, should I eat them when I go to sleep for the first time tonight or when I wake up for EBTB (or both?)

      Thanks a lot!

Well if you're normally really energized from caffeine, then yeah this has a chance of keeping you up. I personally can drown myself in caffeine and still be asleep 5 minutes later, so it doesn't work the same way for everyone.

If you're doing a WBTB, I would suggest drinking/eating as soon as you get up OR right before going to sleep OR a little bit of both. I don't think eating/drinking anything like an hour before going to sleep in the beginning of the night will do anything.

As for sugar, I doubt sugar alone will keep you awake. There is actually no correlation between sugar and hyperactivity (much to the contrary of parents being like, "Yeah our kid just had some sugar, and now he's bouncing off the walls!")

Haha, damn I knew that already ... except I obviously didn't. Except I did because I watched a documentary about what food and drink does to you for an hour and a half. I just forget things.

Right then. I'll bear all that in mind.
      Cheers m'dears.

In my personal experience, I just swallow a vitamin b6 tablet just before I go to sleep. Without using any induction techniques, it just helps me have better/more vivid dream experiences, which in turn allows me to build a more secure dream sign library.

I would recommend picking up a bottle - they aren't terribly expensive - and they can be used during the day too! I'd avoid the time-released version by NatureMade... that was a lesson learned by experience.

Why, what happened? I have some timed-release stuff and if I take it before bed I only remember stuff way near the end of the night. It kinda sucks.
