I just fly. As in smooth, and easy. No wind resistence, nothing.
I just fly![]()

Do you have wings when you fly in your dreams or do you just fly? I was looking at a statue of an angel yesterday and I wondered why in the world she would need wings to fly. It seems unnecessary to me because when I fly in my dreams, I usually just do it. For some reason though alot of the time I make a swimming motion with my arms. Just another stupid post to pass the time!

You merely have to change your point of view slightly, and then that glass will sparkle when it reflects the light.
I think angels are depicted with wings for symbolic purposes only.
I don't grow wings. One time though, I was having a lot of trouble flying so I borrowed a pair of very small strap-on wings.![]()
Silly as it sounds, I turn into a bird when I fly in my dreams, at least if I want to fly long distances.
When I fly it's more like I'm running and my strides get longer and floatier until I'm floating.
Certainly no wings, no.
Bu

Only time i've ever flown in an LD (wasn't really fully 100 percent lucid though.)
I was riding this..magic tricycle I guess. I thought to myself. I'm lucid I can stop pedaling and i'll still fly! Nope, started sinking(and it was weird, I was scared, although I knew I wouldn't die. I still imagene it would hurt like hell.)
After awhile I lost the energy to pedal and fell and hit the ground. Very smooth landing though, thought I would blow up or something lol. and then shortly after I woke up.
I kind of float/fly. I just jump of the ground and hover kind of and then just fly through the air smoothly.... if you've ever played second life it is a lot like that.
No wings here. It might be an interesting thing to experience - something to suggest for a task some time!

I think that using wings for flight is a very uncommon method of dream flight. I have only heard of one or two people who have used it, and I'm not even sure if it was their main style or not.
Besides, wings are big and clumbsy and a lot less fun.
When I'm lucid, I can do things that you can only dream of.
I hardly ever have flying dreams anymore but when i did i cant remember having wings of any sort.
in the most recent flying dream i jumped out of a window and Glided/Breaststroked to the pavement.
Sprouting wings sounds cool though.
Our dreams are firsthand creations, rather than residues of waking life. We have the capacity for infinite creativity.
I never use wings. I do tend to flap my arms like a bird but thats only when I have a lower dream control at the start of my lucid. My most common way of flying is jumping up or sotra a superman take off.

Nope, I just rise and fly.
Sprouting wings would be interesting though..
I have done a few times before, but the wings hardly had feathers on them ¬_¬ bald angel wings...that prevents smooth flying for me

The three times I have flown....
The first two I was a dragon, and the third, my arms turned into wings and I sort of drifted towards the ground
Oh wait, I remember a fourth where I transformed into a firey phoenix and flew around.
The saying "in your dreams" has taken on a whole new meaning...

DO A REALITY CHECK NOW
If I want wings in a dream, I have to summon them. I've never had backwings in non-lucids, and the closest I've come in lucids would be shadow wings (invisible wings where you can only see the shadow). Wings are unnecessary more most lucid dreamers. That is, unless you want to change your appearance (that's the only reason I tried to get wings: to see how they look!).

Sometimes, when I do fly in my dream, I lay back in the air and float like I do in a pool of water, and swim around in the air. Other times, I spread my arms like I'm playing airplane and start running and jumping. Or I just jump in place. Either way, I just jump higher and higher, and eventually, I find I'm flying around without wings. Though once, I was flying in an inflatable airplane. Normally, it's just me and the sky like Superman.
All is not what it seems in your dreams.

Interesting. Finally someone else who say's they've been a dragon in their dreams... I almost never fly in dreams, I find it boring and pointless if I do become lucid. Although when I do fly it is usually one of those really fucked dreams where I become a anthro dragon or a while back I remember becoming some sort of demonic griffon. I like the realistic approach, just floating around looking at stuff gets old fast. Though sometimes I really don't like these dreams because they're to realistic... Never had wings as a human though, I think that would be kind of dumb anyway.
Although the Dragonball Z approach to flying/dreaming can be freakin awesome.

I fly like superman. I just act like i have the ability in RL. Although lately i have been wandering how cool it would be to grow like huge dragon wings and fly
