      Dreams keep getting madder

I had a really twisted dream last night. Does anyone know the meaning of not being able to talk in dreams?

Started off I'd assassinated Ronald Reagan and instead of the police coming after me it Neo from The Matrix that was coming after me. I ran into a building and into the elevator. I wanted to pick a random floor but the elevator stopped at the 5th floor by itself so I got out. There were heaps of rooms on the floor so I picked a door and it was some sort of security room. There was a machine lying there next to the chair so I picked up the gun and sat on the chair and waited. I decided I was gonna shoot whoever came through the door so I had the gun ready.

I didn't think he was gonna find me cuz there were so many rooms to pick from then I heard him telling a bunch of little kids "Go find the Ronal Reagan killer". Some kid opened the door and I was in a crazy mood so I shot him dead. I went outta the room and shot Neo about 15 times but he wasn't even hurt. I half realized I was dreaming at that point so I beat him over the head with a fire extinguisher and threw him out the window. I was only supposed to be on the 5th floor but it was more like a 10 floor drop.

Since I half knew it was a dream I decided to fly off. I ended up flying over this park and there was a witch in there howling at me. I couldn't take my attention off her so I kept flying towards her accidentally. She was telling me to go to some party or something and I tried to shout to tell her to shut up but I couldn't talk. I could only mumble. Thats when the dream ended.

Whats it mean in a dream when you can't talk properly. It happens me alot in dreams.

dreams are the mirror of your mind.. of you..

you also say you cant talk in dream properly..
but you enjoy your avatar in it with 1 missing teeth - how could your avatar talk nicely if he misses one teeth..
but the key is that you like this way of living..

      just dont change anything.. lol

I find I have two types of talking in dreams. There's the talking I observe my personal DC doing, like I don't have any control. Then there's the talking which is like the conscious me trying to speak in a dream state. It's this second type of talking that feels kind of heavy, full of effort and ultimately futile. It tends to happen near waking and I suppose shows a degree of lucidity.

On the other hand, if you observe your DC talking nonsense then this is perhaps how you feel about your RL communication.

I was more interested in the witch. According to Jung, she could be (and I'm assuming you're male) your anima that's got old and haggared through neglect. Have you been paying attention to your feminine side???

I used to be unable to scream in dreams. I don't know anything about interpreting dreams, but inability to speak and scream seem similiar...

Yes, I have that too. I either wake up screaming or I scream and nothing comes out - just a feeling of something pressing out from my lungs and the helplessness that seems to go with it. I suspect we have an early (infant) experience of this as part of the pain of experiencing this world for the first time.

Your onto something there rogue. In real life I have a really lazy, sloppy way of talking. It drives my family mad but I don't mind it at all.

That happens to me burned. I wake up screaming but I don't actually scream I just let these weird sounds out. The other day I dreamt I was out of my mind on drugs and his car started driving off on its own. I figured it was my fault somehow and I started running after it but I couldn't catch up with it so I started screaming.

How the talking thing went down was I was flying by a witch and she started howling at me and I couldn't take my attention off her so I got stuck flying around her. She was asking me to go to a party or something so I tried to shout at her to tell her to shut up but I could only mutter like I do when I wake up trying to scream.

What do you mean feminine side? I never understood when people say we have feminine sides. How do I pay attention to it? Are you telling me this mad old witch that was howling at me is my feminine side?

It's possible, but impossible for me to know from one short dream report. If you're interested in exploring this theme, take a note of females in your dreams and find some common themes. There is certainly a part of you that comes through as a howling witch, though.
