      Question Dreams where you are not yourself?

      Hey everyone, I'm new to these forums. I'm a 23 yo male and I am a part time lucid dreamer. I have been having some strange non-lucid dreams though and I was wondering if anyone else has ever had these kind of dreams.

      The main thing is that I keep dreaming I am a woman. I had one a couple weeks ago where I was a gorgeous blond. I was alone in this rich guy's house. I decided for some reason to cut off my head and set it down on a chair in the middle of the room. Then I grew another head and began stealing as much of the rich guy's stuff as I could. All the while, my severed head's beautiful eyeballs were following me through the room. When I started getting creeped out I leaned close to my face, and it started speaking in tongues to me, at which point I had to wake up because I was seriously freaked out.

      Some of my other dreams about being women have been more disturbing than that one. I don't usually get to do anything fun in these dreams, and sometimes I'm being victimized or abused. I've never suffered any abuse in my waking life.

      So I guess I was wondering if people here often dream that they are someone else? It's a wierd feeling knowing that you are not yourself. I rarely have dreams anymore where I AM myself so I am hoping I'm not alone here.

      I frequently have dreams where I am not myself. In some of them I am a man. Sometimes I am not even human! I don't think these kinds of dreams are unusual.

      I frequently have dreams where I'm someone else, but I always go lucid when I do, as it's a solid dreamsign. I'm always female, though, but I'll sometimes speak English fluently (with an American accent, and I'm Norwegian, English is my second language).

      Yeah ive had dreams like that too. Maybe not as freaky...but i have had dreams i was an angel and another where i was an android....(too many animes) cant say ive ever been male though
      I guess it could be down to what you may watch, or how you are feeling maybe

      Most of the times when I dream that I'm someone else I'll be a character from a movie, TV program or computer game That I've recently seen/played. Sometimes it takes me a while to realize that I'm not actually me. (and dreaming in third person is also more likely in these circumstances)

      Hmmm... i've never had a dream where I wasn't myself, but then again I'm a weird person... But sometimes I have special powers or something, it's really awesome. But that's a really weird dream... XD

      Actually, a couple nights ago, I had a dream that I was Harry Potter I have had others like this as well. Also, I've been the opposite sex in dreams.
