Occasionally I have dreams where there are scenes where it just feels like there have got to be other people who have been there. I'll try to draw a picture, but my drawing skills are rather pathetic when it comes to any kind of scenery. Perhaps I can paint it in words.

In this particular scene, I was on this huge hillside. It sloped down at about a 35-40 degree angle, so it was steep, but not overly so. It was at first brown and rocky, with some tufts of dried tan grass in between the rocks. It led down to the ocean, though the shore (between the water and the hill) wasn't very large. The horizon over the water was a long, long way off and there were no obstructions.

There were literally thousands of people making their way down to the shore. There weren't really any natural paths on the hill; it looked like it hadn't been walked upon. There are a few natural indentations in the topography as if water had been running down it at some point in time. The scene changes a little as I'm moving off to the left and down the hill; the beach is more to my right, but I'm finding the easiest way down, thought not of my own volition. There is also a canyon at the foot of the hill (though I can't see the bottom) and more high, steep hillsides on the other side. Also, there's now snow on the ground, but still thousands upon thousands are making their way down to the beach.

I don't expect anyone to have been to this place exactly, but it's interesting how you wonder if someone else just might have been there.

What exactly is making you think that other people also dream of this place? Now that you mention it though, and I'm sure that this is just my brain making connections

, there was this LD I had last weekend...

I was on this deserted tropical island (there was only me and two other people that I can remember). It was a pretty small island, about maybe 5 x 1 kilometers (it was stretched out lengthwise) and alone in the ocean from what I could tell. The whole island was covered by a thick jungle that was set on rather hilly terrain, except for one of the ends which had a big mountain covered in grass with very few trees. In my dream, I was climbing the steep slope up the mountain. It only took a minute or two to get to the top, but once I got there, I realised that I had climbed many thousands of feet into the air. The other edge of the mountain formed a really steep cliff that went all the way down to the ocean, where the waves were crashing down on the rockfaces. So I just stayed up there a little while, looking around in awe at what my subconscious could create, then I decided to jump off the edge into the water below. I was freefalling for almost a minute and then I dived into the water. When I came back up, I went to this beach near the base of the mountain. There I climbed back up the mountain and jumped again. I did that a few times, until once, I came out of the water and I was in a different place. Cool stuff

I know what you're talking about,I've always wondered that too. This should be an official -describing your scenery and seeing if anyone else has been there thread-. As for the places you and Spart described, nope. = P

No I have not been there to my knowledge. But I do dream of hills and beaches quite a lot.

No, but I have been to other places... never once in a dream [except maybe seldomly] do I think someone's been there besides me [like real people and not DCs].

Last week some time I had a dream of being deserted on an island with some other people I knew. There was no forest though, just lots of sand. I remember looking out at the night ocean and it really hitting me how alone it was for us trapped there, and I also thought of how Survivorman Les Stroud must feel all alone when he's out on his trips.

No, but I like to challenge myself to visit it. The imagery you describe is enough to try a visualization technique.
BTW this is better than the lucid task this month

I gave it shot Amethyst Star, but no go

I kept having water dreams, flying above the ocean, but could not seem to get to your particular scene/
