I'm not sure theres a member of the month... and not really sure how someone would rank that. But sounds like an ok idea .

You'd have to make too many polls. For each award, one each month. And who would decide who the nominees were? Etc etc.

BAD IDEA. (imho)

And there needs to be a biggest spammer award as well.

That is a cool idea.
There are so many people that only reside in one or two particular Forums. It is hard to determine from one Forum to another who would be honored, unless it is categorized by forums.
That too would make things more complicated though.

I agree with Tweak, its a good idea but you would have to make loads of polls for each. Seems too complicated.

I scrolled through this thread really fast. It went from strength to strength then was suddenly throttled. I still think some way to award members who put a ton of effort into these forums would be cool though.

Yeah, but the idea kept expanding and problems were unraffled, and it seems near impossible, unless we go for 1 General Award for "Most effort". This should be rated on post count, quality of posts, how he/she is in the community itself, etc.

The nominees should be decided by a jury of a couple of people, preferably staff.
