Thread: My Apocalyptic Dream

Wow...very interesting.
I'm especially interested about the ending, it's a very nice one, almost as if it came straight from a storybook. I wonder if it's symbolic in any sort of way?

This isn't an apocalyptic dream, but it seems to kind of fit the over all theme of your dream, being that it involved some unstoppable outside force, and ultimate total death.
I was (against my will) suspended above the waters of the ocean. Looking at the crashing waves, i was of course frightened o.o All the sudden, a voice spoke, and said, "I want to show you all I can create..."
I was speechless, and looked around for the owner of the voice.
"But first," it said, "I will show you all that I can destroy."
The waves got higher and higher and I knew(or felt) that eventually they would reach and drown me. "I'm scared..." I started.
The voice told me I was lucky to be seeing this, everyone else was dead.
The waves got higher, and finally I screamed, "I'm afraid!"
This is where I woke up.

What a strange dream!

Care to tell us what does that mean? I don't think it should be taken literally.

I do believe that dreams can be symbolic though I don't see the symbolism in my dream. I personally am a Christian, and my dream kinda reminded me of what is explained in the Book of Revelations.

I was a soldier and was lost in the desert with my group of soldiers(Belgians) after som fight and we came across som lost amercian soldiers so they also joined in with us. It was WW3, so i came fighting from the middle east and got lost while fleeting cos they where bombing the war area seriously. So as we were walking we came acros this huge rock, and a black american soldier said: Oh man, this rock reminds me of bad times. You know the alien war we had a few years ago, this is one of their crashed spaceships. Everyone was like, yeah that was som huge fight, and brought me back som flashbacks (that i cant remember happening). So one guy got all angry he was cursing the aliens cos they had killed his family, so he climbed the alien spaceship, he opend a hatch and started picking octopus like aliens out of the ship. I was yelling that he shoudnt do it cos the hot sun woud bring them back to life, and by doin further what he was doin he woud unleash an other alien war within the WW3 we were already having and woud make things so much worse. But he was like: Fuck man! I dont care, im gonna kill them as they come alive (he already pick out a huge pile of them )
So then 1 soldier walks of and says "Catch ya guys later" I watched him walk into the sand storm wich blew away sand and my street at the front of my home appeared and suddely the whole street appeared with houses and stuff, so i walked along and awoke.
