i dont know but tend to think hallucinations happen during the daily dream we call real life, with our eyes open, and dreams happen when we go to sleep.
Ambien is a sleeping pill in the same family of drugs as xanax and what-not [it's a benzo]
i had a "friend" who took it in an unspecified location. he was sitting in a chair leaning his head on a desk after most of the effects of the drug on the conscious mind had worn off. while he was laying there he kept drifting off to sleep and everytime he did he would immediately drift off into a dream state. whether he was dreaming or hallucinating is the question. the dreams were very similar to those which one would experience in their REM period... extremely vivid... he woke up numerous times trying to catch himself from a fall or something of that nature... it felt like he was actually going to sleep but it's very odd that you could somehow be awake for a good 6-8 hours and then all of a sudden lay your head down on desk and end up dreaming as soon as your face hit your jacket [makeshift pillow], considering it is a sleeping pill it's not that surprising i suppose that it would mess with things like your REM period and what not... anyway question is, was he dreaming or hallucinating?
