Has anyone had a dream that left you not knowing a dream from reality? i had a dream someone i know was dead, i havn't seen them in years but when i woke up i was confused if the person was dead in real life, or just my dream saying she was dead. It's a trippy as hell feeling.

Well I've had some nightmarish false awakenings in the past couple months, really hellish things that have made problems for me.
Every time I get out of bed and turn on the bathroom light I expect to see a demon in my mirror, the light to not work, or to suddenly get pinned to the wall by unseen forces.
Whenever these sorts of things fail to happen, I get a chill down my spine - like I've just dodged a bullet or something.
Getting reality confused with dreams is something that happens alot for me, though not because I just had a dream about something, really because of past dreams that I've had.
Life in a box is better than no life at all, I expect. You'd have a chance, at least. You could lie there thinking, "Well. At least I'm not dead.'

And when we pretended we were going to murder you- that was great...

I once had a dream that I was bitten by a vampire, and I awoke really confused.
To begin with, I was wondering why I was able to wake up in the first place, since vampires can't sleep. Plus, I was sweating buckets, and I was thinking, "I thought vampires were supposed to be cold...?" It took me about five minutes to realize that I was human. XD

Do you know the terror of he who falls asleep? To the very toes he is terrified, Because the ground gives the way under him, And the dream begins... - Friedrich Nietzsche
Went to bed really drunk, and had about 20 FA where I would get up (still drunk) and wander my building making a fool of myself. The next morning I wasn't sure if I really did any of that or not. Still not entirely sure.
Another, I dreamed I could hear my neighbour and her friends talking through my wall about me. I yelled out "I can hear you!" so loud I woke myself up. Was I really hearing them talk through the wall? It was all quiet after I yelled. Still not entirely sure about that one either.
