Can you go a little more in depth? I believe some people here have reported on such dreams. I myself have not, but I'm sure you're not alone here on DV.

Hi, since I was young I have had dreams that moved with me through the years. As I grew and aged the people and places in my dreams moved forward also. Is this a common dream occurance? I've described this to different people over the years and have yet to meet anyone who has experienced the same thing.

“There’s an economic concept known as a Positional Good in which an object is only valued by the possessor because its not possessed by others. The term was coined in 1976 by economist Fred Hirsch to replace the more colloquial but less precise ‘neener-neener’.”

Starting in the sixties I dreamt of a young man graduating from uni as a scientist. He got a job at a lab situated at the end of a lake where they studied all life of the lake and the changes in them over the years. Through the seventies and eighties my dreams followed him as he advanced in his career and got married and raised a family and eventually retiring. The last dream was in the late nineties when a man in his late thirties, early forties was by the lake with a boy. There were no signs of the lab and the man told of how he and his sister had come there to visit their father where he worked. This is only one of several serial dreams I have had though this is the earliest I can recall.
My personal interest would lead my investigation to Jung's archetypes - dream characters that many of us would typically have in some form or another. The man you describe would be your "animus", which is your unconscious manifestation of maleness. It starts with your father (or most significant male adult when an infant) and evolves as you experience other males. His state in your dreams indicates how well you've been looking after him, listening to him etc (all unawares most probably). There's lots on the web about the animus and other constructs.
It sounds like he's doing OK and that you're well tuned in to him.

I used to have space station dreams when I was younger. I had different adventures on the station, though now I can't remember any but the last one. The station had landed on Earth and was turned into an apartment complex/mall. That was the last time I dreampt of it, and it was years ago. I miss that station.
Also, a few times, I'd had dreams of a sort of training boot camp at a girls camp I attended years ago. The first one, I arrived and was getting my stuff settled into the dorm and going through a sort of orientation. The next few, I was actually in training, both physical sort, and training with a sword, if I remember right. Haven't attended training for a while either. I hope I have another training dream. It was fun.
All is not what it seems in your dreams.

Thank you ExoByte for welcome. BurnedUp, this dream is far removed from my life reality so perhaps a comfort dream? gyerenfeli, I find my serial dreams come at times when I need something familiar, something that doesn't have to mean anything, just be enjoyed. I just wondered if others had serial dreams and I'm glad to know they do. Know I'm outside the circle, just didn't want to be too far out.
