Some text I read in a non LD
I had a non LD a few days ago, and read an interesting section of text in it. This is it, as recorded on my log that night:
“Dreams exist to keep thought from stopping… they will repeat as many times as required… using alcohol or other methods.”
Sounds like a theory to me, and I've never heard of it before that dream... as for the part about alcohol, I really don't know
Anyone have any thoughts of this?

That's interesting. "To keep thought from stopping" may refer to the many benefits of sleep, and perhaps supports the theory that we use dreams to sort extraneous information. Without dreams, we wouldn't be able to think coherently after a while.
The second part makes less sense... Unless between the second and third phrase you put "from." Then it could allude to REM rebound, which occurs after taking a depressant (alcohol) or through interrupted sleep.
You could've picked this information up off of the site easily, but maybe your mind discovered it on its own, and more fun text is on the way!

I like the first part too. Maybe it's true, who knows? Maybe when thought stops...something bad happens...
