      Question This is VERY wierd

I was dreaming, a nice dream with clouds and trees and grass and other stuff like that XD, and then I woke up, but only sorta half. I could see I was in my room and in my bedclothes BUT it was all really blurry, and I had this feeling of being strangled. I then sat bolt uprite in this wierd state and then properly woke up, sitting up like i just had done. So basically i was asleep but aware of my surroundings? WHAT!? I woke up becuase the feeling of being strangled made me panic loooaaaads like I was gonna die or something =s
Anyone care to try and explain?

*EDIT*= I have found out what I experianced was SP (Sleep Parlalisys [can't spell ]) but my body was aslep and my mind was awake if it makes sense

Yeah, it's actually pretty typical, people feeling their sleeping body while dreaming, or something of the sort.

Yeah, SP actually occurs every night, but most people don't know about it. More commonly, people feel completely paralyzed and are terrified of strange images/noises around them.

yup , sounds like sp to me.
Just be lucky you didn't encounter "the hag"

I've gotten that, I was having a nice dream and suddenly I started freaking out because my legs would not work.

There have been people who wake up in SP and think that they have been "frozen" by aliens.

      LOL!
Sorry, i didn't mean to scare you or anything.
"the hag" is a figure people RARELY see when they have SP, an old woman, who sits on your chest.
      RARELY.
im not sure if theres anyone on these boards whove expereinced this form of SP but yeah, its very unlikely.

      Woah.
      I have had that before!
Its soo strange that I would read about something that happened a long time ago, and never told anyone about.
      Weird.

That is one stage of sleep paralysis indeed.

Do not confuse that state, as the only state of sleep paralysis though.
Some seem to do that mistake.

It is as you said, you probably ended the sleep paralysis too early, so you acted out what you did in your dreams..

I often or always wake up in the same possition I fell asleep in, be it I fell asleep in this reality, or another one...

A few days ago, I woke up stroking my pillow, who seconds before was a female stomach with a bellybutton and all!

      Okay new here...

I have a question about the "old hag" ya'll are speaking of... I don't know if this is of any relation, but I have often seen a "shape". Sometimes in the shape of a person, sometimes just a blob... It's shaded...like static on a television screen. Often times it is on the edge of my bed (sometimes humming) and sometimes it is on the ceiling or wall..etc... Is this similiar to this Old Hag? Someone please explain Thanks!

      ... ... ... ...

mel-noah I've seen something like that thing you're talking about during an OOBE,it looked like a shadow and it was hanging in the air.I had the impression that it had some kind of a simple conciousness of it's own.A larva,I think.
I woke up feeling totally exhausted and barely alive...Which was unexplainable since I was feeling really well when I went to sleep. It certainly wasn't a case of "normal" SP.
