Thread: awkward killing animals dream

i have had several dreams reccuring about once or twice every month for the past few years. I'm not sure if this dream has to do with the dog or if the dog is a symbolic image, however I keep having slightly varying dreams about having a dog living in my garage, going into the house then back into the garage to find out there are several dogs in there, some having no resemblance to the dog and some looking like exact clones of it. In the back of my head I felt like I needed to find the original so I examined the small group of dogs that resemble it however they are of course, exact clones and neither felt like the original to me, the dream ends. After while I have a second variation of that dream that starts out the same, but this time when I find the several dogs in the garage I have a desperate feeling to find the original dog, so I kill every dog that doesnt resemble the original using an axe and felt no guilt for some reason, then i examined the dogs that did look like the original and found one had a silightly different coat so i axed it, however felt extreme guilt then all the sudden the still remaining dogs mauled me dead yet remember never fighting back or feeling scared. Then came a third variation of this dream, which I've only had once so far. It starts out the same as the first both, however when I come back not even one dog resembles the original. I felt like going out into the back yard and saw some dogs standing by a bloody puddle, so I walked closer and saw that it was the dead remains of a dog that looked like the original, and I felt that this time it was no doubt the original and only. I then would feel extreme sadness and the dream would end. What does any of this mean? I cannot link any symbolism to problems in my life. Answers would be much appreciated
