Could I Have Some Help? Nightmare, Pain, Death
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Freaky, Painful Nightmare Thing
I had this absolutely horrible dream the same day in which I had my last lucid dream. It was a little weird because it was both me but someone else at the same time. It was like I was like I was watching a movie, but everything that happened to the person, I felt it. The person was this woman, either a white woman or someone of an equally light completion, with long, glossy black hair. I/they were in my kitchen with that weird dude from the movie "Dare Devil" who had that weird crest in his forehead. Anyway, he wanted her/me to float this spinning popsicle stick in the air. He did it and then she/I followed suit. I knew that when I finished he would hurl one at my face so I was prepared and blocked his attack. The stick pierced my arm and I felt it!
He became angry and lurched at me. She/I backed away but he managed to pull the pins from her hair and threw them at me as I turned and ran towards the Den in my house. I pins went through my body, my back, legs, arms, neck, and face. The pain was unimaginably real. I've never been stabbed before, but I think I now know what it's like. I/she fell on the floor and I decided I should just play dead, but my posture made it clear that I was still alive. He came into the room. I/she was laying there trying to cover her face with her arms. I began to wish him away, just wish it would stop. I then saw the light catch a thin knief he had in his hand and I really freaked then.
I knew he was going to cut my throat, and I was going to feel it. I started screaming. I don't think I can even scream that loud or that high in real life, but I did and didn't stop, wishing with my whole being for it to stop. I heard something pop and I realized I could no longer hear. I had lost my hearing. Then something like a white light filled my eyes and the situation was gone. I didn't awaken but the dream was gone.
So, I want to know if this was a case in which I had some dream control but no lucidity. I also want to know if this happened because of the following things that I said: I was speaking to a friend that I work with earlier in the week and I told her a few of the things that I wanted to experience in a lucid dream, such as flying. I told her that I wanted to experience death. When I said that though, I didn't mean something horrible like this. And I WASN'T lucid in this dream either. Do these two actions connect in any way? Thanks you guys.

I think mainly this happens because you believe it could happen, and that the pain could be real, when in actuality it is all simulated. I have died many times in dreams, some as violent than what you describe, it's never easy on the psyche. But if you stayed with it you'd find that the dream has no ending past death, and that you will normally go lucid after dying in your dream.

I see, thanks for responding. I know the pain wasn't "real" and I realize that if you can experience pleasure than you can experience pain. IDK, it just kinda of freaked me out and has been on my mind for a few days now.
(It would have been really nice if I had a camera in my room that morning, I really do believe I was probably spasming in my sleep. LOL)
But what about when something hurts in your dream and you wake up (for real) and really do feel the pain? What is that about?

Too much of either pain or pleasure is not a good thing no matter if you're dreaming or awake. If you have pain that persists, then more than likely it has an origin which you should consult a physician about.
