In nightmares, it is always 12:00 midnight, pitch black, in any random place, normally my house.
When I have a nightmare, I feel the emotions of emptiness, sadness, pain and fear.
I feel pain all of the time in dreams, even if it is the most unimaginable pain I have ever suffered. (Ever watch Saw?)
Dreams, around 50-80% of the time, bounce right off you. But some dreams, whether they are good or bad, affect you all the time. When I have a nightmare, I can't sleep for the rest of the night, and the rest of the day is spent thinking about the dream. When I have a really good dream, I'm happy for the entire day. I remember one dream changed the way I thought about someone.
I'm sure it has happened to nearly everybody that can remember their dreams. I know I fall in love in my dreams, but normally, it is a real person I'm in love with and I dream about that person.
Just try not to let dreams get to you as much, they are just dreams, and they shouldn't be able to dictate over your life, unless you let it happen.
