First and far mostly, how old are you? Also have you ever had anything simler to this happen like this happend before? also do you watch alot of horror movies ect. Are you superstous. Also I think he didn't disipair because you where most likely so scared he will be right there when you open your eyes. Also remember Freddy Kreuger is a fictional char made by Wes Creaven. Also, if this is a real entity. (Witch I highly dought it is.) I sugggest getting right with God. Because if it is. Just maybe is a Freddy-Wanna-Be demon. Like Wes Creavens New Nightmare. But remember (Sorry for the preaching but i'm doing my best to protect him.) God is the most high and holyest and most mightyest. He so loved the world he gave his only son Jesus Christ to die for our sins. Sinse then Satan cannot touch us with his love and grace. Then pray for Jesus to come into your heart, even ask if he can send his anegsl to your doors and to your windows and everywhere to protect you. Then pray for Jesus to watch over you when your sleeping. Even ask for God to give you good dreams. The demons cannot even touch you if you are saved with Jesus blood. If "it" comes back say youa re wished by the blood of Jesus Christ and that he cannot hurt you. Then tell him to get away in Jesus name Amen. Thats the best advice I can give you. Also try not to think about him when sleeping. Remember his JUST A FICTIONAL KILLER MADE BY A DIRECTERS IMAGENATION!

This was just a dream. Even though you were lucid, that doesn't mean you automatically have control over everything within the dream. Lucidity and control are not dependent on each other. You had a scary dream/nightmare. Nothing more. Don't delude yourself into thinking this dream character is an actual entity.

On a side note, when I was a kid, I used to have nightmares about Freddy Kreuger. It got to the point that when I was awake, I wouldn't venture anywhere in the house that was dark and was scared all the time. My mom sat me down and told me that Freddy Kreuger is a fictional character, played by the actor Robert Englund (same kinda thing pepsi was saying above). And she told me that anytime I felt scared, to remember that it's just an actor playing a character - no more. And it helped me - I was no longer afraid of him because he was just an actor, and I stopped having the nightmares.

I guess you guys are right, he probably is fake. but usually when i have a nightmare like that, even when im scared, i can fight back. that time i couldnt.

I can see your subconcious manifesting freddy so lifelike, that it would grant him all the powers and scary-ness etc...

just from your knowledge of the movies...

ive never seen nightmare on elm street and i didnt know who freedy was until i told my dad about the dream and he told me about freedy. but i probably just saw a pic of him somewhere.

Lol, i laughed so hard reading this. This is called a DREAM. Theres are different levels of lucidity in a dream. If you couldnt control the 'voice' or person or whatever, then you simply didnt have a high level of lucidity. Seriously just sit down and think about it... you can possibly believe theres a hero in your dreams thats going to kill you.

Johnny Depp's character was killed by the Freddy character in the original Nightmare on Elm Street. But since then, Depp has become a huge movie star and been in some really good movies, like Blow, What's Eating Gilbert Grape?, and Donny Brasco. That is proof that the Freddy stuff is not real. So when you think you see Freddy, think of Johnny. And don't forget that cheesy 80's hair metal band Dokken played the theme song to the third Elm Street. How seriously should Freddy be taken after that?

You obviously expected him to claim so. If you had expected him to say he was a figment of your imagination, he would have claimed that instead.

See #39. The guy who played Freddy was on an episode of Walker, Texas Ranger. That says everything the Dokken connection might have left out.
