      Give me a nightmare

When i was a child, i used to wake up crying and be shaking with fear because of nightmares but after reading about lucid dreaming i have wanted a nightmare and i never get them. Is this because i want one and i know im not scared or is it that im wishing it and thats why it wont come. This has been years since the last (BAD DREAM) i have tried wathing some of very grusum films before sleep still it don't happen.

Book a bungie jumping session or something, whatever scares you and get really stressed about it. Can't say it'll do wonders for your health but should induce some nightmares XD

I think you need to see, hear or think about things that REALLY scare you. I guess horror movies dont really make you afraid.
Internet is a perfect place for horrible things :/ be creative and google, I´m sure you´ll find terrible pics that will seriously make you shiver.

By the way: Why do you want a nightmare now?

You could always try dream incubation techniques, and push to incubate something that scares you. I don't know if that is really what you are looking for. I find nightmares are less about the content, and more about the mood. For example, the other night I had a dream about a giant robot destroying the city. It was lighthearted and fun. Not a nightmare at all. Immediately following, I had a dream about my girlfriend cheating on me. It was a total nightmare, and I woke up terrified.

I think our nightmares change as we grow older. The things that scare me now are not the same as the things that scared me as a child.

Success! Whatever you did, it seemed to work. Sounds like an epic dream, too.
