Sounds like it would make for a fun game, but for life lol, I've hurd of no such thing...
Nightmares are not necessarily such a bad thing. A friend once told me that not only is there is a way to overcome nightmares, but if you know what you're doing, you can use nightmares to empower yourself.
Say for instance, an agent of evil is antagonizing your dreams. If you can use the power of lucid dreaming to bring yourself you kill the demon, then ask him for a gift. I've heard it is possible to bring these gifts with you from the dream realm into the waking realm. This isn't to say that the gift is going to be anything physical or material, In fact; I highly doubt it.
I believe the gifts will come in the form of increased mental or physical energy/abilities.
My question is: can anyone provide me with more information on this phenomenon? And more importantly show me where I can read up on it?
Thanks.
...and I really don't care if I never wake up again
-As far as right and wrong, I know the difference. But right is oh so dull, and no one's interested.
-Raise up your head, unclasp your hands. Your weakness makes me tremble, True strength comes from within. And we were given this life to live. Not exist by standards set by some bullshit rulebook.

Sounds like it would make for a fun game, but for life lol, I've hurd of no such thing...
I haven't heard of this either. But I think whatever applies to nightmares will apply to all dreams. And there's no quick fix, just the usual slog of improving our self awareness.
Our dreams arise from our unconscious processes, where our (conscious) ego has its defenses down and we experience things we would rationally reject in real life. Well, that's what I believe. By understanding mroe about our unconscious processes we can understand more about how these affect us when we're conscious.
You may find Jung's work of interest. Look up his "archetypes". Plenty of stuff on the web. Not sure how to integrate his work with lucid dreaming, though. But others here might.
