    BLARGH! Driver update not working!

I'm downloading the appropriate chipset for my Dell Inspiron 9400 laptop, here's what I'm downloading: "Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator Driver for Windows XP" and this is what comes up after running the installer: :The driver being installed is not validated for this computer. "Please obtain the appropriate driver from the computer's manufacturer. Setup will exit." But when I search my graphics controller type, it leads me to that file. When I manually browse through the archive, it leads me to that file. In the download center, I just head over to Graphics>Laptop Graphics Controller>*my graphics driver type*
Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

silly question but... you are using windows XP right? If your using Vista they probably wont work.

Anyway why do you want to update the driver?

So it can run OpenGL for Blender. This is silly now that I did major research. Turns Dell had customized my graphics driver and then I went to their website to update the driver.Turns out the update they had was onlu +.01 in the version type, lol, and it says it's for XP, but when I run the installer, it says the update has not been tested on Xp yet. Damn. But according to my brother the box of cd's n' stuff that came with the graphics card should have a OpenGL driver installation cd in it.

hmm weird i would have thought openGL would just be working when you had your original driver since it should be on that. Not sure what else you can do apart from ring Dell for support ask them how they've screwed up your graphics chip, stupid dell.

Oh, I tried dell, lol, and those aren't my graphics controllers, you can't just download random updates, they have to correspond with your controller, lol.
