      Blending Pictures?

I want to know how to blend pictures on a computer, plain and simple. But I can't find info on it anywhere. Sry I don't have an example, but look at the sigs of a lot of people on DV and other forums. I also want to know what application to use t get this effect. Please respond.

Photoshop is pretty much the standard tool, but it (normally) costs a few hundred dollars for the program. There is an open-source (free) program like it, called GIMP, which can do a lot of what PS do.

Aye, get the GIMP, learn the basics of using the program (where things are) then come back and I'll give you a hand.

If the different parts of the face (eyes, nose, chin, hair) are in pretty much the same place, you can just set the pictures on two two layers, and set opacity on the upper layer to less than 100%, but I'm sorry I can;t help with morphing two faces in different positions. I think there's a different program for that, but it may or may not be available as freeware.

I normally print out what I want to edit. Then I cut out the stuff I want to morph, glue it into another piece of paper. I also use an airbrush to make things blend realistically. Then I scan it back in and crop it properly in MSPaint.
If I want to make animated pictures, I contact the local witchdoctor and I can usually arrange a deal about some homeless people's souls and a few herbs.

If I'm working with hi-ress pictures ( bigger than 640x480), I contact my friend Fred, he has a plot-printer.

When you say blending, you mean overlaying or screening? If you mean stitching panoramic shots together then you need the Calico (which is free.) If you have GIMP, I believe that GIMP has a Calico plugin built in, if not you can find it on the net.
