      Okay, to be honest I know nothing about camcorders. The only thing I know is that miniDVs have a resolution of like 640x580 which is a little small but fuck, not even the best PV they offer would beat an HD which I can't afford and for the sake of practice 640x580 is fine.

      So my problem is... well... I'm broke and I need something I can afford that's still good. And just so you all know, I can go to best buy and look up prices, too. I'm looking for advice. My purpose, as I mentioned, is something I can use to practice, and keep practicing, and keep practicing, but I'm so sick of my mom's old fucking camcorder and wasting my money on new blank tapes for every shitty little practice creation I'm too pack-rattish to tape over.

      I have 100 in the bank right now reserved for one, and I should have 200 more dollars I can reserve for it in 3 months.

      DoomedOne, this will sound like an ridiculously simple solution, but try ebay. Seriously, there are usually some great deals on there. You could probably get a decent camcorder at 1/2 the rrp.

      Adopted Megabenman although he disappeared a while ago.
