Reply With QuoteHave you tried simple passwords like 1234 and 0000? Usually the default is 4 digits and something very simple like that.
If that doesn't work, a call to DirecTV should work. They can reset it for you from their end.

REsetting DirectTV locked channels
My landlord's old receiver has some sort of parental control lock. It goes black telling me to press select to override. My landlords have never used any parental controls and they have no idea what the code is. How do I reset it? I'm 23 year old, I should be able to watch South Park if I want.

There should be a factory master lock code, Costumer Service will be able to help you.
