      runnining slowly

my laptop is running very slowly, and i think its because my RAM is being taken up by hefty processes, but i dont know what ones to end without my laptop getting messed up. here is a screenshot of the largest ones:

Off the top of my head, you can turn off Search Indexing. It takes up a lot of memory and doesn't really do much for you at all.

      1. Click on Start button, then select Control Panel -> System and Maintenance -> Administrative Tools, and double click on Services applet. Alternatively, simply type “Services” (without quotes) in Start Search box.
      2. If User Account Control asks for permission, click Continue.
      3. Locate an service named Windows Search. Right click on Windows Search, and then select Properties on contextual menu.
      4. Click on Stop button to stop the indexing service immediately.
      5. On the Startup Type dropdown box, select Disabled.
      6. Click on OK button.

Also, if you are not sure, just google the term and usually the first site will describe to you if the file is pertinent. This is what I usually do, lol.

      you can't buy XP anymore
so you'll have to "obtain" it instead
alternatively, you can try a non-windows OS, but it's up to you

Either choose a different OS, or get a beefier laptop

You could, but it would come back the next time you restarted your computer.
