Have there been any other movements or new things around?

My wireless signal to our wireless network has dropped to only 2 bars out of 5.
I don't know what caused it, I haven't moved my computer, but within the past week it has dropped to 2 bars. So, either the device is now faulty...or something is wrong with my computer.
Any ideas?

Kyrie Eleison.
Does the router have multiple antennas in it? Perhaps one of them crapped out.

I've experienced similar stuff. It's just random, so to say. Unless it actually persists for a long period of time, and causes decrease in network performance, then there is no problem, atleast not something you can identify and fix.

Oh, but my computer has two antennas for its wireless connection, do you think that might be the problem? It is brand new though. =(

Are you actually having network trouble? You might very well be trying to locate a problem that isn't there.

Yes.
When downloading things from sites that have direct download I have had it go from 700 kilo to 500, and then slowly dwindle all the way down to 50 bytes. Then it speeds up a again, to about 60 kilo and then slowly dwindles again.
I also have problems with online games which I never used to have problems with. I'm lagging far more often than I normally do.
It is like my connection suddenly drops dramatically, and stays there for a very long time, and then jumps up to about a poor connection, instead of very poor, with tiny bursts of good signal strength.
google for instructions to make a wireless Pringles Cantenna
gives you a wirless range of approx. 4 miles

That should do.

lol marvo.
my connection did this, its done it a few times, sometimes because the router is behind something, and sometimes for no dam reason, but it usually passes after time.
