Okay my country is silly and has prohibited the sale of skyrockets for public use. So instead we just have lame roman candles.

How do I make a sky rocket homemade? You know. Like, the rockets that fly up high then explode real big with sparks and stuff?

create a black power rocket add flash powder in one end and add stars to that end, seal it up and, Volia!

Errr, i dont really have any questions to ask but if your into it ill let you in on a little of my pyro background.

-I just foundout my friend has a major connection, (ammonium nitrate, idoine crystals (fun) !!potasium chlorate!!! So im thinking im going to get back into this.

That's too general of a question

We are talking about big bombs, destruction bombs not "fireworks" Lol.
You can make that easily with any common sense and a little gunpowder.

-You can easily make gunpoweder, buy it if your over 18, or get it from rocket engines. (the engines are wicked expensive :-/ )

-If you dont want fire you can use chlorine and brake fuild

-Or peroxide and the black stuff in alkaline batteries. (Dosnt work too great actaully)

Explosives are for making explosions, (Duh) pyrotechnics are for making fire.

It's fire, it works, and it's a work of fire. Fireworks by definition.

Because to be considered a firework it need to have an oxidizer, a fuel and some sort of an effect. with what your talking about has an effect, but no fuel or no oxidizer.

*Don't actually try this at home, the following is just for educational purposes.

Your classic tennis ball filled with match heads could be considered a poor man's fireworks. Make a small cut in a tennis ball and fill it with strike anywhere match heads, or regular match heads with some strikers thrown in (I usually glue them back to back). Then tape up the ball with duct tape. You can crunch up the flints from dead lighters and throw that in as well for some extra sparkle. Then just throw, and it will go off shortly after impact. Note that it still stays a little bouncy, so watch it doesnt bounce back at you!

I've been wondering if adding some wax to into the tennis ball would turn it into a stink bomb. Sulfur and wax combines for a rotten egg smell. If someone tries that before I get around to it, let me know how it went.
