      Tell me about Bike Repair?

      Im trying to learn bike reapir and i need to know all about bike repair and what tools i will need as well.

      Seeing as how my last post here was deleted I'll say this...

      Many of the things on bikes that go first are the ones that an amature should not try to fix.
      Derailleurs, spokes, untrue wheels,gear shifts... all of these are the ones that go fastest and they're also the ones that are most difficult to repair.

      I suggest getting the book "The Bicycle Repair Manual" by Chris Sidwells...

      This is a legal, free online Bike Repair manual that isn't as good as Sidwell's book... but remember, most of these take a lot of practice to do properly.


      The only real tool you'll need is a bicycle multi-tool. Talk to someone at your local bike shop about which tool is right for your skill level and biking needs.
